Indeed it is my point of view. I think compared to a few good men that Star Sports advertise, these guys are amateurs. DD is lucky they pulled Ravi Shastri from ESPN to their stuff. Apart from that you have a star cast--Arun Lal, Rameez Raja, Sanjay Manjrekar and Aamir Sohail. ALthough I must admit Aamir Sohail has been very meaningful in his commentary, at least on this tour. I have agreed with almost everything he has said.

I like most commentators, they are all pretty different. I don't really like Tony Greig though, if I had to pick my least favorite.

My least favorite would be a couple of those Sri Lankan ones...they just repeat everything the other commentator says. For example, one guy says, "And that's a beautiful shot for four." The other one says, "Yes, that's a beautiful shot for four".

Not only do these guys crackme up with their "billy aggro " thing, but theyve inspired the 12th man comedy tapes.........and there so amasing.

Best commentators:
1 Bill Lawry (he's sooooooooo biased its funny)/ Dean Jones
2 Tony Greig (brings excitment to the game)
3 Richie Beanaud (THE voice of cricket)
4 Ian Botham (to the point and isn't scared of giving out critisism, and hes biased towards england)
5 Dermott reeve (only really known in england tho sorry!)
6 Geoff Boycott (He's funny coz nobody can do anything right in his book)
7 Paul attot (brings some excitement to the game)
8 Ian Smith (straight forward in his views on cricket)
9 Barry Richards (can be quite funny)
10 David lloyd (he's just a nutter)

Worst:
1 Mark nicholas (too posh)
2 Jim maxwell (no wonder they take the **** outta him in the 12th man tapes)
3 Ian bishop (please leave commentery forever!!!!)

My favorite is Geoff Boycott for his famous 'accent'.

Currently Manjarakar is doing a very good job.
Sanjay Manjarakar-Michel Slater combination in the Australia tour of India was very informative & humorous at times. Slater was humorous with is witty lines.

The worst now is Rameez Raja.I hate his voice.
He always talks of Pakistan.I can remember one ocation.Sehwag smashed Sami for a boundary,Rameez started praising Sami-He is a energetic man,always handy,tries hard for wickets,has great stamina...blah....blah...blah.
I was surprised.He did not mention a word about Sehwag's shot.
