Best Commentator

Yeah, forgot to mention Holding and Tony Cozier. They're great commentators too and they never irritate the viewers. Richie Benaud is good as well, but I don't get to hear him too frequently.

1. Ravi Shastri: quite sensible and to the point. Tells it as it is.
I'll never forget his commentary in the 2005 Pak-India ODI series. "The pathan is on FIRE". Classic.

Best commentrator by far is Harsha Bhogle.....Its a pity that we only get to hear him in Australia when Indians tour here, but he is just a delight listenning to. He makes you feel like you are there watching the game just by listening to the radio........and I can say that few of the Aussies I play cricket with also love hearing him speak on the radio.
His pairing with Kerry O'Keffe is the best commentary patnership I have heard.....O' Keffe is just superb as well......

Agreed...
Bhogle is one of the world's best commentators.
Talking about commentary partnershipsi liked Sidhu and Boycott together. :p

Australian commentators are the best, they'r just so cool!

Have you heard Jadeja anyone? He is pretty ok, if kinda quiet. Doens't talk about more than he knows. Nice to listen too.

I would actually appreciate Harsha "you just get the feeling" Bhogle if he didn't have an attitude. When he first came into the scene, he was ok, but nowadays, I think he imagines that he's played 100 test matches for his country. I also dislike his pretentions at being neutral although he's not too bad in that area.

In terms of Presenters rather than Commentators, I like Sky Sports' Charles Colville. Seems to know his cricket, treats his job professionally and doesn't mind being there at 10:45pm until 7:30am for a VB Series match. :D

He gets right on my nerves! Don't know why, he just does!

My personal faves would be:
Michael Slater
Mark Nicholas
Mike Atherton
Geoff Boycott
David Lloyd (nutter lol)
Not forgetting Richie Benaud, couldn't have had a much better ending for him with McGrath bowling KP right at the end of his last stint in England.

1.Waqar Younis - he talks in a funny way
2.Geoffry Boycott - he is quite wise
3.Michael Holding
4.Sanjay Mandreka
5.David Gower - talks like a bullet :D
6.Ian Botham
7.Rameez Raja
8.Tony Greig
9.Ravi Shastri - always like to talk about food
10.Mark Nicholos

I am surprised not many people have mentioned Tony Cozier. He's one of the best in the business. Very well-spoken and yet never irritating. I like him.

Very underrated...

Another good commentator in my opinion is Ian Healy: one of the few Assie commentators who actually makes sense and isn't as biased as the rest.

Dean Jones is pretty good, Somehitng always happens when he is in the commentry box.

The Worst commentator is Arun Lal, god he is just so messed up, and he never shuts up!
