Best Player of Spin

Gentlemen, who do we think is the best player of spin in the last decade? i would have to say good old Boof Lehmann, because A) he is my favourite player ever, and B) He played Muttiah Muralitharan with absolute ease, and Smashed two cenuries against him IN SRI LANKA. he has never struggled against the spinners. so what does every one else think?

Hampshire Hawks and England Batsman Kevin Pietersen- can smash a maximum off any spin bowler, even Shane Warne.

I'd have to say Darren Lehmann or Andy Flower

Andy Flower is a great player of spin. John Crawley is one of the best English players of spin I've seen.

I'd say one of the indian batsmen or all of them , Engilsh players cant play spin that good , they dont use thier feet very much , thats why thier going to struggle in india.

We are improving playing spin, look at how we have played Warne lately, ok he may have got wickets but we are scoring runs off him, All the pressure your spinners put on the seamers will lose. As India don't like play Kumble and Singh do they?

YEH thats in england though , but playing in india with good quality spinners and beating india in india will be a very very hard job , I know englands improving on spin , but when they tour india it will test england on how good your players play spin. Best of luck to england .

It will also test your players on how they play harmison, hoggard, Flintoff, Jones and Tremlett. Obviously all five wont play at the same time.

I agree with you mate , It will certainley test the indian players , India have improved on player pace bowling , but the wickets in India keep low , so thier not much bounce , and fast bowlers are not going to win the game for england you need a few quality spinners in your line up , every indian pitch takes spin , and I mean sharp spin , After all warnes always failed in india.

Giles is consistent personally i don't think any other spinner would get a go. Hoggard and Jones are key in India.

Personally I think giles will have to most of the overs , when england go in india , but personally Giles is not a class spinner , you need someone better , for example like murali , warne , kumble h singh , and vettroi they are class spinners who are big wicketakers . and for me flintoff and harminson will play a big part in india . If england have any chance of winning or drawing the test series , england need 2 class spinners in thier line up.

Sachin Tendulkar certainly has the wood on most spinners he has faced.

Yes but Murali and Warne are one in about 3 billion.

I could maybe see Keedy replacing Hoggard but that would be seriously unlikely. Vaughan can bowl pretty well but underbowls himself.
