Best Player of Spin

Ok then If giles is your best spinner you have , and why not pick another spinner froma county side .Honestly I dont think england can win without 2 speacialsit spinners in india.

I think I read somewhere that Terry Jenner was saying England look for leg spinners in the wrong way. He was saying how a leg spinner develops slowly, but they expect them to be a class act too early on and so they don't make their way into first class cricket.

If Warne and Murali are 1 in 3 billion, then Kumble, Harbhajan, Vettori, Kaneria and Saqlain must be more like 1 in a billion.

I don't think this is how it works. In the 30's Australia had Grimmett and O'Reilly. In the 50's we had Benaud. Currently we have Warne and MacGill. I think frequently enough, we have had an amazingly great spinner and 1 billion people haven't been living in Australia.

Oh! Edit: Tsyrmas, can you change the thread title to "Best player of Spain" ? :D

I agree with you it takes years to develop a leg-spinner , and what england need is a good leg-spinner who spins the ball sharpley.

Brian Lara is definitely the best player of any spin Bowling.....as quoted by every spin bowler including warn and mulitithran.......sachin comes second best

there are some from each team:

Australia:Clarke and Lehmann
England:Pieterson and Flintoff
Pakistan:Inzi and youhana
India:Sehwag and Tendulkar
WI: Lara and Chanderpaul
NewZealand: Astle and Fleming
Kenya: Tikolo
Bangladesh: Ashraful
SriLanka: Jayawardene and Jayasuriya
SA: Smith and Kallis

Sachin is the best then Lara. Warne said its Tendulkar and Muralitharan said its Lara. And we all know that Warne is better. Both have gotten out Lara more than Tendulkar. Just check Stats Guru

Hayden has the ability to dominate spinners but hasn't lasted to that stage much of late.

Hayden at his peak was one of the best. It obviously has to be one of the Indians though. Warne never plays well against them.

thing is, warne never quite got the chance to reverse his record, if he had've played at mumbai he could have got 10/80 or something incredible for that match.

at a guess, a ten-fer would probably have reeled his avg against india back below 40.

Clarke could become a great player of spin. He's already proven he can match it with the best of them on the Indian tour.

From the Indians in the list, I think you forgot to mention Saurav Ganguly, he's definitely an amazing player of spin, he's actually one of the best players IMO of slower paced bowlers in general.
