Would rather see the people who spent ages creating whole teams from nothing get the highest ranked squads to reward their effort.

personally i just want the best lookalikes. if 99% of the best lookalikes on a given roster come from one creator, but one or two players from different creators, then for me the guys who have gone through player by player and collated a team of the best likenesses and brought those together have still done a helluva lot of work.

I'd be okay with that if the collation was being done by someone who has also put a lot of work into creating a bunch of other players.

There are people on here who have been making teams since day one, I'd be disappointed if come release day the 'get best' are just compilations of other people's work done since the ratings reset.

But that's just me - doesn't look like any of the votes I did have changed the ratings on anything.

Well just leave it then? It does not give us 5 Stars if you don't vote. By down voting your giving the people who want the most realistic BBL teams WITH ATTRIBUTES away from the criteria they require. Like seriously that's making the feature called 'Download Best' turned into 'Download best teams completely created by one creator'. Seriously as Andrew Gaze would say "Turn it up" ahahah

if two equally good teams in terms of lookalikes had one the work of one creator, and the other the work of one collator, i might give the creator more, say 5 to the creator 4.5 to the collator... but that's about it. i wouldn't down vote the collator.

at the end of the day we should be voting the best team/roster, not the hardest worker.

though tbh i don't really care, i will never use get best. my strategy will be to download munkeymomo county, snowy aus, chandrakif IPL, my international and other teams. if i want to i'll download the CPL, India first class and other domestic teams people have done, and where there are players i know/care what they look like and not happy with the likeness i will go through and find the best individual player and update it with who i want.

Also its called fighting for what you believe in! I appreciate that Matt did that as well! I just questioned him on why he would down vote it, and tried to defend ourselves. There now thats me done for the night. I should really stick to just commentating on youtube videos instead of typing hahaha. None the less rant complete.

Voting down is simply a strategy to give a slight bit more impact to an up vote - because when I last logged in to take a look, a lot of the teams you mentioned had no star ratings at all, so were basically hidden.

That's part of the reason I'd want to see the original creators high up there on the lists - so people can easily discover the creators who are doing the best job and then go look at their stuff directly.

Voting down is simply a strategy to give a slight bit more impact to an up vote - because when I last logged in to take a look, a lot of the teams you mentioned had no star ratings at all, so were basically hidden.

Fair enough! Also in our defence when I gathered the players I would give the creator 5 Star for each player that I downloaded. So I think by doing that, I have done my bit. As I said before our initial reason for making these teams was to show off the cricket academy on BGLCricket, and to of course give our league members there team from the get go.

I think the reason you may be encountering some hostility isn't any reflection on your site but the way you are going about advertising it. It does feel like you are taking advantage of our hospitality whereas normally anyone wanting to advertise in the way that you are would be charged for the privilege.
There will be various ways of winning copies of DB14. Your site will be one and this site will no doubt have copies available for members to win as well.

I understand man, but the thing is, we want as many people to see this giveaway happen, and at least we are doing it in a thread that we created so it's not spamming really to many people! We just think that if there is a giveaway happening, all people should have a chance to see it. Considering our channel is only one week old it can be hard for people to find these types of things so we think that this is the best way to get the word around.

yeah, it is not retaining any votes at all. i noticed because it's not even holding the votes i personally gave to teams/players (usually shows by lighting up the outside of the stars), and also from various posts it's clear more than enough people have voted for the "big name" creators here like israr, raj, munkey, superfreddie and myself, but we all have no stars.

i mentioned it in the CA feedback thread the other day and ross said he'd look at it. no follow up on that yet but understandable as i guess they are busy with release meeting.

if release is to be announced tomorrow hopefully a CA with fixed voting will follow in short order so we can get it resolved before the release.
