The big face of Pakistan Politics dies.. also first Pakistan women to be the prime minister of Pakistan
reports say shot in a rally.

Big shock!

BBC said:
Benazir Bhutto 'killed in blast'

Pakistani former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto has been killed in a presumed suicide attack, a spokesman for the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) says.
Other reports said Ms Bhutto had only been injured and taken to hospital.

Ms Bhutto had just addressed a rally of PPP supporters in the town of Rawalpindi when the rally was hit by a blast.

At least 15 other people are reported killed in the attack.

Ms Bhutto has twice been the country's prime minister and was campaigning ahead of elections due in January.

wikipedia

On December 27th 2007, Benazir Bhutto was assassinated after being shot in the neck after a suspected suicide attack at a political rally in Pakistan. The explosion went off just after Ms. Bhutto left the rally in Rawalpindi, minutes after her speech to thousands of people.

That means Pakistan will be unable to Democracy for long long now..

What does this mean now for Pakistan in the long run? It had been a three person race for the January elections, but now evertything has changed. If Musharraf had anything to do with this I would not be surprised if the riots started up again

Pakistan will slip back into Musharaf's autocratic, tyranical leadership and be largely ignored by a lot of the world now. Massive shame, going to be a lot of problems in Pakistan now. Huge. I'm expecting big uprisings and violence on the streets.

On the cricketing front, this is Australia's tour to Pakistan is most certainly off now.

Members of the other main opposition party (I Think) Nawaz Sharif and members of his party have been killed after being shot upon at another political rally in Islamabad. If I'm correct in thinking that Nawaz was an opposition party member to Musharaf, both of the main opponents dying is lously suspicious. I think we all knew that Musharaf would have a hand in at least Bhutto's death but eliminated another on the same day.

yes, I dont think Nawaz is dead, if he even died, I dont think Pakistan will be any safer then Zimbabwe,

Even though I dont support any of these parties, I really feel shamed,

she had a son and a daughter, living in England if i'm not wrong.

R.I.P Benazir
But the thing is...Musharraf warned her not to go.
Still very very sad. :(:(:(

I'm telling you musharraf will stay in his house for long, he is so unsecure.

Halfway down the page. Some of his most influencial advisors killed apparently.

Well then i'd say it's unsafe to be at Karachi right now, DAMN!

Her party, the PPP, has the largest support in the country.
