Yes it's Aussie summer, but I reckon they mean Feb rather than December 2012. Not that I would place the slightest bit of credence in what they say any more.

Yeah feb 2012 would be fine with so many great games out and coming, still they should still show the game some what. Get people excited and show some of they new features to the cricket fans. They are so different to codemasters[trickstar], codemasters promised so much with ic2010 but only did a solid job in the end with no after game support. Like i said before i wish them luck because they will need it.:D:spy

lets face facts, there is no profit in cricket games.

Thats why they either dont ever release or when they do they are pants.

There is, but the developers and publishers just don't know it. Its in front of them. Key is ONLINE MULTIPLAYER. IC10 would have a booming community right now if it did not release with a completely almost intentionally broken online.

Make a good online, PC game and make its online servers anti-piracy, and market the game in South Asia. Only $$$$$ to be made.

That said, obviously a Online-only cricket game won't sell either. Single player is the backbone but MP will get the sales.

^ Absolutely true

It seems like the developer's have given up on cricket game.

It just takes one good game to spike the fire. BLC 99 did it a decade ago

Even the Indie developer's like TAOC don't give a crap (That game had some potential)

Sorry but its true. I am getting too old for these games anyways

Never too old for cricket. Either the real game or video/console games. BUT....if a cricket game was to be released that was as good as FIFA Football/PES Football/MLB The Show/EA Sports Rugby, (I think 2005 was the best year)/Tiger Woods golf.....then it would be some game.

Lets hope we would get a decent cricket game before we become Gramps :p

^Frankly we must get used to this sort of treatment at developers' hands. We ought to resign to the fact that a decent cricket game will not be developed until the sport is truly globalized.

AFL is popular in one country. Rugby Union is not really the national sport of any country other than New Zealand, and not even close elsewhere I would think.

Cricket is easily more popular than both, but still, no effort from developers. I can't believe the head of EA Sports said a while ago that there is no real point in making cricket games, when there isn't really a point in Rugby games either.

Rugby would be the national sport of most of the polynesian countries. In Australia, England and South Africa it'd be one of the top sports, though cricket would probably beat it (and soccer in england)

In Australia AFL would also beat it, as would Rugby League.

I doubt there are more than a thousand gamers in all the polynesian countries, not worth making a game for them obviously.

If there are no delays now by developers than we will have at least 4 cricket games in hand by the time this game will release. But there is big IF. All the new developers who promised cricket game have either delayed or canceled it.
