Big Ant working on Cricket Game

How people can say cricket isnt very popular is beyond me: did anyone see the people being turned away in their thousands for the last day of the Lords test? People are still hungry for cricket and cricket games. I still have hope that EA or Codies or Big Ant will still provide us with something.

Just seen more gameplay of rugby challenge on youtube, the game looks so good guys. As video game cricket is dead at the moment its something else to look at. The graphics are so much better than any cricket game, come on codemasters get of your asses and put some money into a good engine for a future cricket game with some after game support.:spy

I was playing Ea's NBA live 10 the other day for the first time and was blown away really at just how far away us cricket gamers are from a decent game. I got to thinking about EA's comments about cricket not being worth a new game for them. Well why couldnt they look into an IPL game? I was thinking that could be made into a really good looking game. im not an IPL fan by any means, but i just think we need to keep it real and understand the only thing of interest to non true cricket fans is T20. I think Ea would do a decent job of doing it. Just an idea. :) And yes , this is a some what pathetic plea to EA.

Because it still wouldn't sell. They tried to sell AC09 for peanuts in the SC but still they preferred to pirate it. Ain't happening

Those Rugby challenge screenies do look superb. Like others, I can just imagine how good a cricket game would be with those kind of graphics.

For years now we've had to put up with the simple excuse that cricket isn't big in America, so they won't bother putting resources into a decent game. Well, how big is Rugby in US? Why can't we look more to the fortunes that exist in India? Why can't they throw their weight around a game for the millions of cricket fans around the world?

I guess the IPL would be a good place to start. I can't stand the competition either, and can't help thinking that they better develop a game quick, before the whole concept loses its appeal and is consigned to the scrapheap.

They probably just came to their senses and realized the only people who would pay full price for this are the English and Australian cricket fans and there simply aren't enough of them to make the game financially viable.

There is a reason MLB the Show is so good, it sells millions of copies at 60 USD a pop, not 100 rupees or whatever pathetic amount AC09 sold for.

correction, it didn't even sell for that amount :lol

Well Rugby at least has a lot of European supporters, especially places like France, which make the games much more viable. Not to mention being a World Cup year.

2k Sports should try their hands on a cricket game. NBA 2k11 and MLB 2k11 were amazing and I rate them higher than EA Sports TBH.

Yep, probably cause I never played the show 11.:p

One of these days someone will create a cricket game that can actually compare and be the equal of games like Fifa and MBL and Madden...

Hang on a second - sorry just day dreaming.

I still think Big Ant can deliver a solid game. Their afl game is seriously awesome. The key to the game is making online mode good.

I am not really into this Online thing, I want offline to be fun, they need career mode in cricket games like in tennis games ,PES etc
