The Redbacks are going to India!

Major collapse from the Blues. What utter facepalm. Hughes has a golden duck in the SS, FRC and now the Big Bash this season!

And he should have had one in test cricket :p

It was to be expected that once Queensland had gotten off the ground without dropping heaps of wickets, NSW would be under immense pressure to do the same.

5 overs a side really shouldn't be the minimum, I'd rather see teams walk away with 1 point each. The minimum match should be two hours of play. In a case like this, where you have about 90 minutes, just do what they do in Tests, add up to an hour on the end. An 11pm finish isn't anywhere near as ridiculous as a 9 over game and you wouldn't lose those IPL double headers either.

Agree with all of this.

WA and SA look the best two teams for the Champions league. If SA can get back Ferguson, he will be able to make up for the loss of Pollard somewhat. Can't see Pollard's T&T not making it back to the CL so hes good as gone. Afridi will be there unless they decide on banning Pakistan players again. WA will get back North and maybe Hussey, and I think Johnson so they will look even better come the CL. If they keep Gayle then good luck stopping them.

Gayle
Shaun Marsh
Ronchi
Hussey
North
Pomersbach
Mitch Marsh
Johnson

That is one hell of a batting lineup.

If a team say Tasmania make it to the CL, will Rana play for them there? It would be a shame if they didnt let him (or any other import) play in the CL since they obviously helped them get there and deserve and equal shot at the cash.

Yeah at least W.A are good, unlike South Australia.

SA current side is good, add Ferguson and I would say they would compete. But the loss of Pollard will be a big blow. Right now they have a good all round side, best spinner in T20, an express quick and some handy medium pacers. Openers are getting good starts, they bat down to 8 and have 8 bowling options. Their middle to lower order has Afridi, Pollard, Bogras, Christian and O'Biren who are noted big hitters. I guess that also brings them down with some of the collapses they have had.

Well I don't reckon they're any good. In the CL they'll have to hope Afridi plays for them. Otherwise they got no players in the national side and the only players that come close are Manou, Tait, Ferguson and Cosgrove. It's a pretty weak side compared to the other teams.

Without Pollard they don't look as good but leave him in there and you see why they are top of the table. They don't have the big names but they get the job done, in particular the bowlers.

Yeah it's surprising, but once again the larger part of their bowling is from Afridi.

Drove 3 and a half hours last night for what is usually a 2 hour journey to go to the Big Bash game in Sydney. Having been at Day 1 of the Sydney test and seeing half of it rained out we figured we'd take advantage of having free entry to the game and head back up to Sydney.

Got caught badly in traffic and then to have the game reduced and to play out the way it did was disappointing but I guess there is always that risk when going to a T20 game

Ah forgot Voges, really want to keep Mitch in there for his big hitting and part timers. Would be between him and Pomersbach.
