Thunder are the first to wrap up their signings, with a clutch of young NSW players. They hit the market hard when they secured Gayle and Warner and even raised eyebrows with Bollinger and Edwards, as well as beating up some hype for Phil Hughes. However, they're relying on ten players with less than 10 matches' experience. For all their "X factor", it's probably outweighed by several other algebraic symbols and functions. It's a gamble, but there is the possibility of upside. Will it be worth it?

And why should he play? The test matches are far more important than some t20 domestic comp. I reckon clarkey and Jonhson have made the right call by not participating. Even though I'm supporting the stars, I'd prefer Siddle to focus on test cricket, rather than squeezing some t20 games in.
