That is the one positive from this expansion, the big name players are now coming in droves. However still would have liked NT and ACT to get teams instead of Victoria and NSW.

The captains have been named for all the teams:

Big Bash League 2011-12: David Warner to captain Sydney Thunder | Cricket News | Big Bash League | ESPN Cricinfo
Brad Haddin will lead the Sixers, James Hopes the Heat, Tim Paine the Hobart Hurricanes, Michael Klinger the Adelaide Strikers and Marcus North the Perth Scorchers. In Melbourne, the MCG-based Stars will be captained by Victoria's skipper, Cameron White, while their cross-town rivals, the Renegades, will play out of the Docklands under Andrew McDonald, and Warner will captain the Thunder.

Yes, the big launch happened the other night with all the captains spruiking about how good this is going to be.

Was more interested to see Brad Hodge on TV the other day really talking up the league and expertly avoiding questions about how it could be bad for the Aussie Test side :D I wonder if he's got an ambassador gig with Cricket Australia. Seems odd to me given how much he hated the Cricket Australia selectors :p

i am supporting Hobart Hurricanes

i hate t20 they are destroying tests and odi

Shouldn't that be IPL's poll?

So we are almost ready for kick off. Pollard is out of the competition, not what the organizers would have wanted.

Been reading the news for team lineups and stumbled across a few articles talking up Nick Buchanan saying he is able to hit low 140s already and should crack 150km/h, also a tall bowler too.
