Hogg has been good but we are fine for spinners in the T20 arena. The incumbent SOK did well last night, Beer going well and Doherty started well but has been off the boil.

Another pathetic batting display by Gayle's XI. They looked an ominous team with Warner and Gayle, but now they're being exposed with Warner missing.

Apparently Faulkner will be out for around 6 weeks as he undergoes surgery on his hand. 6 weeks in Australian time probably translates to 6 months in the real world.

Brutal bowling performance. Thunder looked a little unlucky early on with marginal decisions going against them but later a couple went their way. Wickets or no, Coulter-Nile's bowling was virtually unplayable on a pretty tame pitch. His killer arm might even have cost him an over, as he was equally deadly in the field. They could barely read Hogg's leg break much less his wrong'un. It must be said that if the next generation of batsmen are so lacking in methods to face quality spin bowling, then it's a massive contribution to the future of Australian cricket to have a second chance at facing all these quality wrist spinners.

NCN should be given a go in the T20 and maybe even ODIs to get him exposed to the top level.

I thought Faulkner would only be out for a couple of weeks being back in time for the finals, however should be use to these underestimated return dates.

Quite funny how average Vettori's been batting for ND in the HRV Cup, but in his first Big Bash digs he owns up. Maybe with the two extra Aussie teams and the Blackcaps playing in the HRV Cup, the competitions are pretty even.

Looks like the Heat will move to at least 6th with this win, if Neser stops bowling wides...

Lol Neser's been tempted by satan and had a little wager on the Renegades getting home it seems. An over full of wides, full tosses and a no-ball at the death.

This is my team of the tournament

1 H. Gibbs - Scorchers
2 C. Gayle - Thunder
3 T. Birt - Hurricanes
4 B. Hodge - Renegades
5 D. Hussey - Stars
6 M. Marsh - Scorchers
7 M. Wade - Stars
8 B. Hogg - Scorchers
9 R. Naved - Hurricances
10 S. Coyte - Thunder
11 S. Warne - Stars
12 J. Botha - Strikers

Smith picked a good time to produce that knock just in time for the T20I selection. Easily his best T20 knock, came out of the blue really as he has been sub par in the matches so far.
