blc mag review

This is amazing, the person reviewing EA cricket 2005 says brian lara is better, the person reviewing brian lara says EA is better, what the hell? its crazy, and i don't see how the hell bowling is boring, heck bowling is the best system that ive ever used in a cricket game, you have a lot of options though it is a bit difficult to use at first.

Overall i think that both games have their own positives on each other and negatives, so i don't think you can really say which one is better, the only reason BLIC 2005 is going to last long is because it has something new for gamers and not the same old story of EA.

Wot a bad review, world cup as 'minor tournament'. He probably only hates it becos c2k5 has better graphics. Bowling is good if you bowl the right line and length and wickets tumble.

"Flat, and barely recognisable players"

what a joke, the players look pretty good compared to Cricket05, look at Darren Gough in the demo, it looks exactly like him.

What use is it getting someone to review a cricket game who thinks cricket is monumentally dull? It's the first cricket game I've played where I actually enjoy bowling

EA obviously spend more ??? on advertising space than Codies do....
Official Playstation Magazine is a joke anyway, it so much wants to be a "lads mag" it hurts. :p

how do you know that the reviewer doesnt like cricket!!! maybe he is telling the truth. you all are just pro blic and negative ea 2005 cause of ea's previous attempts. where was codemasters?! shut up and stop defending blic, the reviewer may actually be talking some sense.

Have you actually read the review? It's obvious he doesn't like cricket when he says "Cricket is a monumentally dull sport"

that person is a pro EA person and it seems that he has not read the review and is just commenting on the messages here!

and rashaba, before asking us to shut up and stop defending BLIC, you first shut urself if you do not like people praising a game which you dont like! we have the freedom of expressing our thoughts here! no one here is just being pro BLIC. Its their opinions.

People over here are and will always be biased.period.

thats crap, the faces in cric2k5 are waaaaayyyy better than those in BLIC, since when has Shane Watson looked like someone out of Shrek

look at darren gough...looks like a photo in BLC

im quite pleased with the faces except when did andy symonds look like that?

I have to agree with the review in some sense. It is not an authentic cricket sim
as it lacks a real feel to it. It is a very good arcade style bash and slog game that would be great playing with a mate but if the demo is an indication of the game I can see a lot of you guys declaring a test match at 5 for 2000. Some of you guys might like that but I am sure the real cricket fanatics will be appalled at this. As a cricket Sim I would give it a 7/10. As an arcade game I would give it a 91/2 out of 10. I have yet to play the EA game as the demo has some scratchy graphics on my machine (even though I have a good system that has no trouble running Call of Duty or Farcry). If EA has produced a game similar to 2004 with better graphics and more statisticle information then I am sure all the good patch makers on this forum will be able to turn it into a blockbuster.
I know this is my first post and it is only my opinion but as far as BLIC goes as a serious cricket sim I think it is a flop.
;)

You will be pushing huge scores in a test match on Village difficulty, trust me, a lot of us have done it here..........Hayden, 900n.o :) lol.........however, you ramp up the difficulty to County and Test level and try playing some of the better teams in the game, I'd like to see people get over 300 in that then, let alone pushing 1000 runs in an innings ;)

And I forgot to say, as for player likenesses, the first player I saw in EA Cricket demo was Andrew Symonds, WITH a skinhead.......now, tell me if I'm wrong but Andrew Symonds has HUGE dreadlocks and looks like a bloody clown in real life...........and to be fair, the face wasn't much good either.

To be honest tho, you'll always get some really good likenesses and some dodgy ones. I really liked Alec Stewart, Nasser and Flintoff's likenesses in BLIC, dunno what you guys thought.
