There will be no day/night matches in World cup & champions trophy only in quick match you can select D/N as was the case in BLIC05. Even though CT06 has many games played D/N we won't see D/N CT games in BLIC/RPIC/YSIC 07 cricket.
Where did you read that? From what they were telling us they have put a lot of work into the lighting effects, and how in a test match the lighting will go from perfect to dusk througout the game. I just kind of assumed they would have day nighters as the technology to do so is in the game, and it looks fantastic.
Ok lads here's a few answers to some of the most asked questions. Bare in mind I only got a short playthrough so not everything was revealed.
Bowling speeds - They are sorted out with the meter registering correctly now for all bowlers. On test match level the bowlers seem pretty quick, whilst on the lower levels it's a lot easier to see the ball and hammer it.
Fielding - Animations are much improved. At first playthrough it seems a bit trickier, which should prevent every throw being nailed back to the keeper at 100mph. Catches are now reaction based everywhere on the field.
Statistics - No. They have not been added, and as such will no doubt anger some. As in the last game the world records are all there and can't be changed, but unlike the last one you now have a similar page to track your own best scores.
Interface - Is much improved, I personally like it, although it will obviously be a personal thing. The options are as always fairly vast, the option to play on realistic or balanced is a new feature. Balanced alters teams stats to put everyone on a level playing field. Realistic keeps things as they were.
Graphics - An improvement on BLIC 2005 although not massively. The stadiums look a lot better, the crowd as well is not bad for a game, certainly puts Pro Evo to shame! Players for the most part look better, although at the same time they still retain that cartoony look. Personally I like it, as it has it's own charm, but I know some people won't. The animations of the players is an improvement on the last game especially the fielders.
Sound - Massive step up, crowd, players, fans are all much improved. Players come out with the odd line, and the crowd offers varied themes depending on who's playing. Out in the field, there is an Asian voice, a West Indian, English and Australian I think it was, all helps with the immersion and with surround sound, sounds excellent.
Gameplay -
Batting - Still fun, on the easier modes as you would expect easier to hammer the ball, although you do get more shots that are miscued, and balls not always flying 10 rows back. I would imagine on a harder difficulty mode it could be a challenge, if only for a short while.
Bowling - Personally didn't get to experience, much the same I feel, although the swing and seam will be much more affected by the pitch and conditions.
Fielding - Again I didn't get to as I didn't bowl, seems a little less reliable, which personally I feel is a good thing, as it was to easy to nail bang on in the last game. Difficulty of getting catches the or throws perfect is governed by the players statistics. Which are all in turn governed by Wisden's database.
AI - Seemed much improved. Looks like it will be harder on test level, and not easier to bowl. The batsman were aggressive in the 6 over game, and they bowled well.
That's all I can think of for now, if you ask any questions I'll try and come up with answers, although it would probably be for the best if you wait for the full review of the day and ask in there.
