So the CB series is back again? I guess it will be under a new name, but the same format (with the best of three final) is back, which is good. Hope India can defend the trophy that they won back last time.

Isn't it a four test series? I dont think it will be anything less than four test matches. India v Australia should actually be played for 5 tests.

I'm really happy the tri series is back although i think if they shortened the qualifying games from 12 to 9 would be better

Aren't India playing boxing day?:facepalm
BCCI, do something now:p!

Hmm, I feel the test match ground fixtures as exactly as the ones which were way back in 2008. MCG and SACA matches coincide with the date too.

MCG, SCG, WACA & SACA.. FTW!

Yes India have avoided the 2 venues that might have annoyed them: Brisbane with it's high bounce and Hobart with it's cold and windy conditions. Probably just a coincidence, because as is pointed out it's the same as last time.

Now this is a series, good to have 4 test again and the Tri Series. The two ODI series just weren't working, kinda of like most ODI series these days.

Come on BCCI and CA, for Christs sake give us 5 test matches. This series deserves 5 matches :mad

Doesn't that make it way less likely to be a coincidence...? :spy

It seems so easy now to blame BCCI for manipulating the playing grounds in countries where they tour. Isnt it the prerogative of the CA to decide the grounds for their respective home series? I dont think the BCCI has become that powerful to dictate where they want to play when they tour, and I dont think they will become that powerful.

And the last time we played a test at Brisbane, Ganguly scored a famous century and we did pretty well in that test.

That was pretty flat Brisbane pitch in general. Easily the flattest of all the Gabba test i have seen since in my 15 years of watching test from the ground.

Only time the ball really swung or did anything for the bowlers. Was on that rain hit 2nd morning when it was overcast for the only time of that test & Zaheer took 5 for to restrict AUS from 260 odd for 2 to 320/330 all out. Otherwise the sun was out & batsmen from both sides had it easy.

Why did the 3rd team have to be Sri Lanka. Sick of India v Sri Lanka games. Logically New Zealand should've been the 3rd team as they are playing tests prior to India.

Its because Sri Lanka were World Cup finalists.

Ye & its an even stranger choice give SL were here last season, why bring them back again?. Madness..
