I always had a problem when Im batting I tend to break the toe end of my bat, when trying to hit a six or hitting yorkers. Sometimes i even end up bashing the bat onto the ground. It happened to three bats now(and one of them wasnt even mine) and the other was a grade 1 willow bat. Does anyone have any ideas on how i could stop doing this or know what im doing wrong? Im going to have to declare bankruptcy if this continues and say goodbye to the season.

When I first saw this thread I thought you were going to ask advice on how to break peoples toes when bowling! :p

To answer the question, use a toe guard, and don't bash the toe of the bat on the ground.

What he said, just use a toe guard. Same thing used to happen to me, put on a toe guard and didnt happen again. :D

Or if you don't get Shoo Glue. Don't know if you guys have heard of it or anything, lasts longer than normal toe guards and has takes more impact then a regular toe guard.
