to be "fair" to fernando, he did say he was going to buy it if it was available and the torrent was the fallback if he couldn't acquire it legally otherwise.
now i don't for a second believe he didn't know a torrent wasn't pirated, and pirating is stealing, so he's still being an idiot, but at the same time it's a lot easier for me sitting here knowing i can get it delivered for free from amazon the day it's out, or pick it up from game or whatever, than it is being in an area where i can't get it from a local shop and face paying double the price to have it imported/delivered.
i think his comment, while gormless, wasn't as bad as some i have seen.

However I don't think you can be too harsh on pirates...its bad and wrong.

Fair enough. He got misquoted badly. He'll buy it if he manages to get a physical copy in Lanka. If he does not, he'll pirate it as a last resort. Case closed.
Hope Ross manages to ship a copy to this kid.

Bollocks. Sorry but if you want something that costs money, buy it. If you don't have the money, don't. I appreciate that in different parts of the world people will have different incomes etcetera but just because someone hasn't got the money doesn't mean they have the right to steal it.....in my neck of the wood I cannot afford a Porsche.....I do not go and steal it.

Anyway Planet Cricket prides itself in its approach to pirating. We hate it. Full stop. Anyone who wants to be a member here needs to understand we do not like pirates. They can better go somewhere else. This is not the place for them. They will get a lot of stick, a lot of stick.
There are no excuses for pirating.....none. Full stop.

I think everywhere except North Korea* can import the game via the internet.

I really do not get you....I do not think you get yourself......10 minutes ago you could not afford to get the game via Amazon as that was too expensive.....now Ross says something and you can.....
.....anyway what I think Ross is referring to is that there will be an option to download the game via Steam or something equivalent.....you will not need to have it delivered to your door....you can download it straight away........after.....PAYING FOR IT.
