71/2 at the end of 10 overs. South Africans have brought themselves back in this game by picking up Chris Gayle and the dangerous looking Darren Bravo. With Darren Bravo departing Shiv Chanderpaul and Ramnaresh Sarwan steadied the West Indian innings till the end of 10th over.

However, at the beginning of 11th over,Shiv hit a boundary and started the proceeding. Soon Sarwan followed and it looked like it's easy getting runs and it was good South African bowling that had stopped the run flow previously. T20 is not always about bang bang cricket and picking singles and rotating the strike is also very important.

Sarwan and Chanderpaul just proved that right. They both rotated the singles and doubles very well and they were really looking focused.

This match have had different phases and where Bravo and Gayle had a good opening stand, then Africans coming back in the game by picking up few quick wickets, again Chanderpaul and Sarwan scoring freely, now it was the Africans who tried their level best to mount back pressure on the West Indies. Some great fielding and some great tight bowling at the end of 13th over. The scoring of runs halted for that moment.

For this comeback Ryan McLaren should be praised who ended a brilliant spel with De Wet,both giving just 6.5 runs an over. Although Kallis looked in a bit of discomfort and was taken for few runs, the South Africans must be really happy to see West Indies score 114 at the end of 15 overs with run rate being 7.6.

West Indies expect Sarwan to now fire or leave the wicket and give batting to
the likes of Pollard and Bravo.

I think Sarwan has batted to slowly. If he would have scored 10 more runs in the deliveries he faced then West Indies would have been in a great position :)

Presentation is fantastic KIU Rohit

I think it's a great start to this story and it's nice to see a West Indies story here. I personally wouldn't want a West Indian story. Things are bad when I prefer writing for Bangladesh above them.

But hey, the West Indies are my home team and I support them win, lose or draw.

Really cannot wait for the next update of yours :)

114/2 in 15 overs and it seems that West Indies will score 160 odd runs if Bravo or Pollard click and play their kind of innings.Sarwan and Chanderpaul are on crease and they need to score some quick runs. For South Africa it was picking wickets and keeping the target as low as possible. May be South Africa will be happy to defend 150 odd runs.

Things started pretty well for South Africa after 15th over where Shiv Chanderpaul was given out caught behind.Dwayne Bravo was the next man in and it seemed that this is what the West Indies fan wanted, may be Pollard in this situation would have really been a nice tactic though. Sarwan continued his slow flow of runs and hit an odd boundary here and there. It's never easy for new man at the crease, and South Africans did took advantage of that and bowled some brilliant line and length. Bouncing the bowl was their major tactic and that got them the wicket. Dwayne Bravo was caught by Smith, which looked like a great tactic. Pollard arrived and soon followed Bravo back to pavilion as he was out on a Golden Duck.Dinesh Ramdin was the new man in and he struggled more the what Bravo did, Short Balls Short Balls Short Ball!! is what South Africa bowled.

In the end West Indies ended on 147/5 in 20 overs with Sarwan not out on 40 ball 45 and Dinesh Ramdin not out on 4 ball 1.

Probably won't be defendable with South Africas batting and you're teams bowling but good luck all the same :)

Little writing tbh... West Indies have been restricted to a very less target imo.. Anyways if Edwards strike early things could go their way

I've been following this. I'd like to say that this is the best possible use of ICC game I've seen so far. Nice idea of the video and match scorecard pics look nice too. Writing can be improved to make it interesting for the reader.

For the videos, if you only include some of the highlights and important events that will do the job. Good going, keep it up.

I don't see how he has to write loads in a story, not all stories have to be words, if rohit wants to use videos and pictures and a smaller amount of writing to do this story, that's ok, it's his decision.

It's a great idea, hopefully you can keep this up and the story will grow into a very good one.

If you're talking about my post, I just said his writing can be improved.

This has been a very promising start, like User said, you've made very good use of ICC.

A par total by the WI, they just couldn't find any acceleration towards the end of their innings through Bravo/Pollard/Ramdin.

One idea is you could caption the images, so pretty much just write one line under each of them saying what they're about.

West Indies haven't capitalised on the start they got, Pollard doesn't get paid enough to play International Cricket as you can see by his score :sarcasm. But South Africa are clear favourites from now on tbh.

no, it wasn't directly aimed at you. There are a couple of posts in this thread that have told him (rohit) to write more. It isn't necessary to write loads and loads everytime you post an update.

The suggestions you have given me has really boost up my confidence. Next update

Welcome back ladies and gentlemen West Indies have scored a mediocre total of 147 runs which means the South Africa will need 148 runs to win in 120 balls at a run rate of 7.4 runs an over. The total is not too big but seeing the slowness of the pitch and once the ball gets old, the spinner will get some help out of this wicket. All eyes on Fidel Edwards and Jerome Taylor who are back in the West Indies side from injury and along with them Ravi Rampaul who took up the responsibility in their absence. Benn would love to see the bowl get some bounce and turn off the wicket once he gets in to bowl.

South Africa started the innings with a drop catch in the slip of Graeme Smith, this could really prove costly but that was a 1st ball drop catch. Hashim Amla then scored a beautiful boundary when bowled short at him.. The hook short was really treat to watch. But his innings did not last more as Fidel Edwards soon took his wicket and he was caught by Chris Gayle in the slips. This wicket made AB Devillers come out to the crease. Graeme Smith, after the wicket of Hashim Amla, did not look back and continued his flow of runs and he scored some quick boundaries of Ravi Rampaul's bowling. Ravi did not look in touch and bowled a way ward line and length. He was smashed for 26 runs in 2 overs. Gayle continued Edwards for his 3rd over and that paid off as that over did not cost him much runs and few here and there misses.

8 boundaries were already scored during this 5 overs span of time reaching South Africa's total to 47 runs for 1 wicket. The runs were not just scored due to poor bowling, they were also scored due to poor West Indies fielding. They now require 101 runs to win of 90 deliveries and for now South Africa surely look the favorites.
