BTW people, this story hasn't died, I've just been a little busy : . I'm afraid I won't be able to post any more updates today, because I'm going to the Oval to watch England do badly, so I might be able to later, but until then, feast on the success of your first mission!
Memo
Date: 21/03/47
To: All Pilots in 606 Squadron
Well, as of late its been a bit quiet, mainly because the Luftwaffe are on their summer holidays, the top brass tried to stop it, but they were feeble against the power of the unions.
I, for another thing, have been completely contradicting the idea of a summer holiday, in that you rest and have a relaxing time.
I also need to update everyone on how they are doing so far in this war, and remind those of you who have forgotten or lost count how many kills you have.
As for Prestige, its a way of ranking the respect you have in the squadron, as with Mafia gangs more kills = more respect.
But anyway, we were called off for an intercepting mission, if you were listening during previous briefings you will know that we are now on the East Coast of Britain, because of the need to support British troops trying to break through the frontline in Calais. If we are successful, we will push the Nazis even further back, and hopefully the Americans will be able to reclaim Paris.
If we fail, however, we may never turn the tide against the Nazis.
Mission 3
Our mission is to intercept enemy aircraft. Our target is a formation of Luftwaffe fighters.
Good shooting, Colin Kemp.
I managed to get this guy in the end.
Here is the frontline now:
Thank you all Pilots, sorry for the lack of action in the last few days. I am told that there is to be no mission tomorrow, but as with anything in this war don't take it for granted. Thats all folks!
