Post Line-ups Champions League XX - Round 3 - 'Must win match' as the bottom-two collide...

It's kinda hard to do that when you have certain people winning multiple leagues around here.

We didn't even have the qualifiers last season and some people still ended up with more than two teams apiece. There was this one chap (@Simon I think) who had three teams to his name, leading to one of them being donated away to some happy-go-lucky random individual.
Because he gave that away you can control all of your teams :)[DOUBLEPOST=1416244880][/DOUBLEPOST]
To avoid this only, am saying one person should manage one team.

Just consider this situation where two teams are playing against each other and both teams are managed by the same person.

There is a high possibility of match fixing, in the sense to pick a week team so that other stronger team has an easy chance to proceed further in the tournament.
That's BEST for BUSINESS

In a situation like that, I'll be more than happy to step in and take over the reins of the supposedly underperforming/weaker team on paper and ensure fair play by selecting the best possible XI for the match.

Of course, I'll only do that if I notice something fishy like an in-form player being dropped for an underperforming/average one. Like the way Sri Lanka dropped Ajantha Mendis in favor of Randiv for the 2011 WC final.

Lol thats a decision taken by srilankan cricket board, plus we are one of the few teams who play mendis well since 2010.

I leave it to you.
You are the best judge out there.
But its not really easy to find whether someone is intentionally picking a bad team.

If I were a selector for their team, I'd pick Mendis regardless becuase of the way he destroyed India's lineup in the 2008 Asia Cup final in similar conditions. Something like that ALWAYS leaves a mental block especially in finals. :spy

Every one has a opinion, but calling it as match fixing is crazy.

We can't be too sure of that. After all, I'm the fool who brought up the qualifiers idea (with shoaibakhtar reinforcing it) and everything's gone to hell since then. :lol

As a result of my stupidity, we now have a seemingly endless 20-team CL.

I'm putting my name up for it since I haven't seen either you, @The Author or @swirler declare interest in managing the next CL. I hope the previous season wasn't too much of a disappointment.

If I'm selected, I'll host a qualifying competition between the extra teams i.e teams from leagues that are considered second choice to their more glamorous counterparts, and give a CL berth to whosoever wins it. I think there are 4/5 such teams. That'd be fair instead of shunning them straight on their faces. We could use one extra team since we're not likely to have any from the Caribbean, Bangladesh etc.

I'm just using it as a fishy example, because that's what it looks like to me at least. Never in any one of my posts have I mentioned the word "match fixing". If others bring up stuff like that, it's not really my fault, is it?

Anyways, I thought it was about time I changed the thread title. Will get to work on the index in a day or two.

Its my team or someone else why would you have a problem ?
