I hate the fact that most of the foreign broadcasts we receive here use km/h.
But km/h is the real thing miles is just fake.

ESPN Star isnt that great. Some of the commentators are simply annoying. And they hardly have any productions of their own. They cover India matches that take place in England and Australia with their own team and crew but the main feed used in those games are of Sky (England matches) and Channel 9 (Australia matches). But now ESPN did acquire the rights for ICC and ACC events and are the host broadcasters (I think) for their tournaments.
But in almost every aspect Sky, Channel 9 and SuperSport (South Africa) are miles ahead. Most of the technology been introduced into cricket broadcasting such as Hawkeye, Hot Spot, Snicko, Red zone (Channel4), player mics, etc. were all introduced by one of the three.
And ESPN tried to experiment with some of the worst mid-innings shows I've ever seen in a cricket match such as the Shaz-Waz show they had in between which used to feature guests who knew about cricket at all, and one in which they made Michael Slater a pitch doctor or a sports professor or something like that. It was horrible.
And you put Sunil Gavaskar to commentate in a game involving Australia, and all you'll get to hear is his complaints about everything the Aussies do.
My personal favourite is Sky because they have brilliant coverage, amazing commentators who talk sense, and Bumble is an absolute legend.
I also like Sky because they have the best English coverage of La Liga football!

Sky is the best. I don't know why people like Richie Benaud, yes he has been great and he knows a lot and he is the voice of cricket but he is too old now. He repeats himself and listening to the Sri Lanka series I found at tmes was cringeworthy. Plus 9 has Mark Nicholas, a man who has his head so far up his own rectum you can never quite make out what he's saying anyway. Seriously though he's just terrible.
Channel 4's was by far the best though, it seems a liccle dated now but it would do and apart from silly cartoons with cricketing lions and Mark Nicholas it was very good. They gave us hawkeye and snicko, 2 of the best bits of technology around. Or at least they used them first. Some geeks gave us them.

Richie Benaud is great because he is by far the most unbiased commentator ever.
Ten Sports is in trouble nowadays.They arent on good terms with Arjuna Ranatunga of the SLC and even the PCB wants to back out of the agreement.
ESS was behind the Asia Cup broadcast.However the commentators that they used were all part-timers.
They infact do have a good list of ppl- Bhogle,Chappell,Wilkins,Boycott,Slater,Gavaskar,Shashtri.At that time,these ppl were not available due to prior commitments.
True,the ASia CUp coverage sucked.
Shaz and Waz was funny.
The Pitch Doctor didnt take off,but the nurse was hot.

Ten and SLC-Arjuna isnt happy with the quality of the broadcast.So,they are terminating the contract.
Ten and PCB-Somewhat similar.Rameez Raja and the ex-chairman were not happy.Dont know the exact reasons.
Harsha Bhogle has never played cricket.He is in fact an IIM-A graduate.He started off as a radio commentator.
