CLASSIFYING A PLAYER AS AGGRESSIVE, MODERATE OR DEFENSIVE?

Hi everyone. This one is for the purists. When you create or edit a player in any cricket game, what is the best threshold to use when it comes to deciding whether to classify the plsyer as aggressive, moderate or defensive?

If a batsman's real-life strike-rate is 60+ in test cricket, should he then be classified as aggressive? Likewise, if his strike-rate is between 40 to 60 in test cricket, should we say he is moderate? And if his strike-rate is less than 40, is he defensive?

And what is the threshold for bowler strike-rates when it comes to classifying a created bowler as aggressive, moderate, or defensive?? Would the bowler be moderate if he picks up a wicket on average every 70+ balls in test cricket???

And what about the threshold for ODI and T20 strike-rates?

What is the best threshold to go about this if we just take strike-rates into consideration.. Thanks.

More or less, yes. When it comes to cricket simulators this all comes down to probabilities. Player aggression is just an integer that gets used in a more complex formula.

Something we overlook too is that a player might generally be aggressive but their S/R is low because their batskill is low and they are always up against really amazing bowlers.
