What a great game, easily one of the best RTS games I've ever played. The way you can trash almost anything, creating new rubble to fight behind is great. I've one question for those of you who have got far into the game. Have you ever seen a German use a grenade? I'm a few missions in on expert level and I've never seen them use one grenade. I'm playing the latest patched version.

I have indeed finished it, and it is very good. I have only seen the AI use a grenade against me in a skirmish tho. (well i think it was a grenade.. it was an explosion near my men which killed one of them.. and there were no artillery or tanks anywhere around... or mines)

I have Coh and the Sequel Coh OP. Mainly play them online these days, although i haven't played them for a while.

Great games though.

Be good if they released some more expansion packs, that take it all the way to Berlin and introduce the Russians. Also, what about a Pacific version? I hope Company of Heroes is a franchise like Call of Duty and not just a one-off game.

Edit: No spoilers, but do all of the campaigns provide a nice, tough and lengthy game? I have the Gold edition and I'm loving the original CoH campaign.

That version of Coh is already out, i have it. That is called Coh Opposing Fronts, and adds the british and axis panzer elite forces to the game.

Turds. I thought that was an announcement for Company of Heroes 2! Oh well, it seems as though people have lots of campaigns being made, they might not be as good as the official ones, but there are usually one or two that stand out.

Talking of such games, how does Codename: Panzers measure up to it? Does it have the same level of destructability in the physics for example?

Edit: I found the demos of the two games on my PC Gamer discs and they're so glitchy! Jerkiness, skipping, all the glitches under the sun. Has anyone here actually got the full game and how does it run on your PC? The game is XP compatible, so I have no idea why it's running so badly. I can't make a judgement on the final game based on these demos.

How much bandwidth - in Megabytes - would an average online game of CoH take? I'd love to give online a shot, but my monthly usage cap is a bit restricting in that area. Roll on the day when I can afford unlimited usage!

If we do play, you'll probably thrash me, I've never played online...

Christ, no idea mate. Not loads i would have thought in a 1v1 game. It would just be for fun, i used to be pretty good so it might help you improve a bit. After that maybe we could team up online for a 2v2. Fancy a game now?
