Night 2​

The mafia needed to get it right tonight following two straight deaths but the town were on a roll and would have wanted that to continue through the night.

He was tired of his unreliable underlings who couldn?t do their job so this time, he was going to do the job himself. He was skillful with a gun and his target had no idea, falling dead instantly.

She was going to get information tonight and she knew who had it. She may have not got anything out of her target last night but this night was going to be different. She found her target who managed 3 words before being shoved into the back of the car again, ?Not you again!?

He had been successful last night and he knew who his next target was. He was too overconfident though and his shot missed the target by a fair way, who reacted and ran away. ?Need more practice with this thing,? he said to himself.

He had been unsuccessful now the previous two nights but tonight, he knew he was getting what he came for. It didn?t take him long before he found what he was searching for. He picked them up and wiped the dust off them. ?Hmm, now to put these things to good use.?

The town woke up the morning. Varun was nowhere to be seen. After about an hour searching, he was found lying dead on the ground. They checked who he was and were saddened to find out that he was:​

You are Nelson Sharkey, an ex-detective. Your boss was corrupt but you were the one to lose your job. You miss your job sorely though and what better than helping uncover the Ormond Singularity. You are the cop, and each night, you can investigate the alignment of one person and determine whether they are town or anti-town.

You win when the town win, provided you stay alive until the end.

It is now Day 3. With 16 alive, it takes 9 for a lynch.​

Godfather made the kill himself instead of getting someone else to do it

What I found interesting is that it says 'she found his target'. Not sure if it's a typo or she's a tracker of some sort which doesn't really fit. Also the not you again...she targeted the same person again? Or some sort of bus driver interfering

No hint that Varun was the cop so I guess that was a random punt by the mafia (unless BD was involved).
Agree about para 4 being the vig. Confirms it wasn't just one kill.
Para 3 is very confusing. Are all the his and hers correct?

I feel like I've forgotten a lot about this game since night 2 began but I vaguely remember being suspicious of P Squared and BKB.

Havent done night analysis yet, am in a bit of a hurry so will post thoughts later.

All I will say is based on the activity so far, I am looking for more contribution from Ben. He hasnt mentioned anything worthy yet. If the trend continues for this day, I am going to vote him off simply because he has been no help to us at all.

I think the one with his and hers is the Jailkeeper, since the car was referenced last time as well.

The Godfather one is clear and The Vig missed his shot, so he doesn't have a 100% chance.

Right I have just gone through Varun's posts for the last few days to see if there is anything in them which might point to a person he might have info on in regards to being mafia

Well, putting the question of my reasoning being lame aside, I was never eager to lynch Aditya. In fact, I myself admitted that I won't lynch him for a hunch like that until something else confirmed the suspicion.

So Varun seems slightly suspicious of Aditya but doesn't want to lynch him till he has more information (I would guess that there is a good chance that he would investigate Aditya that night)

My suspicion on Aditya is not cleared yet as well. For Chewie, I'd wait for a while before making any further conclusions.

@Aditya - The thing is that you don't choose people entirely randomly. You have some things in mind, and that's why you do. That's why P Squared's suggestion that the silencing might be random doesn't make sense. Even if yours was a joke, there had to be a reason why you chose Smurf out of the blue, however faint it may be. Suppose I lynched P Squared or BKB in the beginning of the game, how suspicious would it be even if I CLAIMED it was for fun. They are both people who I don't talk too much with on the forum. I don't share a common joke or anything with them.

And the way you have only kept posting your defense and constantly ignoring anything else is also weird and not like you usually play. Unless you're playing a poor game, you're definitely anti-town, mafia or not (considering your style of play this game).

These two posts, especially the last one seem a lot more agressive towards Aditya, maybe suggesting that he has found out Aditya is anti-town?

What?!? Why did he claim doc then?

Anyway, brilliant thing to happen. Two mafias dead, and one town (only vanilla).

Ok, haha, he probably was using a last resort in case Haarithan was not a DV. And bringing out the doc as well.

That directly puts the suspicion on Mark?

Maybe has some info on Mark?

Like I said I am trying to guess here, the one about Mark could have just been an off hunch, but he really seems to be gunning for Aditya, imo, so I think maybe it is time to put a bit of pressure on him

The night write-up seems to be pretty self-explanatory, except the third paragraph which like a few others above I don't really get. Yes I can confirm that I found what I've been looking for. I don't want to say what it is atm, but I probably will later in the day once a bit more discussion has taken place.

I actually don't think I've lynched anyone so far in this game (), but based on the evidence Tom has found and how we don't have many leads atm, I'm going to go ahead and lynch Aditya for the time being.

I'm stupidly using up the second of my two posts already here but MaD just tweaked my radar there with his post and I want to point it out so that it can be discussed.

He seemed way too keen there to follow myself in that he made the mistake of not reading what I wrote (about Varun not being sure about Aditya early on but then seeming more convinced) Slightly scummy in my eyes, I dunno, I'll see what others think.....

I am also confused about the 3rd paragraph, guess we'll have to wait for Hedger to confirm if there are any typos or not.

Agree it sounds like it was the same person targetted again. I would guess this may involve the Bus Driver because most of the time you can't target the same person twice in a row, unless it's the same person as Night 0.

The others seem fairly self explanatory.

As for the suspicion on Aditya, I'm not going to jump on the bandwagon, but he is definitely suspicious. Think I'll wait for him to defend himself.

I didn't follow your posts, I just skimmed through it.
I myself noticed Varun gunning for Aditya since night 1 and. I believe he was the one who questioned Aditya's lynch of Smurf on the first day. Now that he's come up cop, it only makes sense that he was going for Aditya for a reason.
Although I think Dr Pepper was going for him too, might have to look back

And yeah, Varun was gunning for Aditya from d1 and started it from a fun lynch which never really looked suspicious to me but now that it's revealed that he's cop, I guess we can safely assume that he was softly pushing on his guilty. Soooo,
