Cricket Australia today confirmed that Mark Cosgrove and Brett Dorey will replace Damien Martyn and Stuart Clark for the one-day series on the Travelex tour of Bangladesh.

Martyn is returning home today after incurring an elbow injury which has ruled him out of the one-day series, while Clark is now back in Sydney to be with his wife for the birth of their first child.

Cosgrove will join the Australian squad from England where he is currently based playing county cricket; while Dorey will depart from Brisbane later today (flight details are not known at this stage) where he has commenced his scholarship with the Commonwealth Bank Centre of Excellence.

I really don't know what future they see in Dorey as part of the one-day side, he may perform well in this series, but in my opinion this was a perfect opportunity to add Bollinger to the squad as a launching pad to his career, he would gain experience from the team environment and the whole international experience. He's much younger, and I can't see the point in opting for all these 30 year olds, because when they don't perform to the expected standards, there's not much to do much in terms of development.
Anyway, it's good to see Cosgrove in the squad, that's a positive move and he can benefit from the experienced Australian campaigners' guidance.

Dorey actually did well in the domestic comp so I guess worth another shot. I still would prefer Bollinger but he seems way down on their list.

Great move picking Cosgrove, at last our selectors have seen the light.

I'm glad Cosgrove got picked, he really deserved it. Don't mind Dorey but he can be a little loose with his bowling.
