Countrys Best twenty20 side

Hmmm...for India...

Sehwag
Gambhir
Dhoni
Yuvi
Sharma/Raina/Badri
YK Pathan
Jadeja/Karthik/Uthappa/???
Bhajji
P Kumar/Sreesanth/Sharma
Zaheer
RP (Even if for just that one spell)

Dhoni skipper and keeper, unless Karthik is playing, then just skipper.

I'd like to see Sachin in there. The no. 7 spot is kinda unresolved, maybe whatever player is in form. Or Sachin or someone like Badri with Dhoni and Yusuf moving down to 6/7. Raina really should be in the team too, so maybe Raina/Yuvi/Sharma/Dhoni/Yusuf ?

Ideally, if he was in form, I'd like to get Irfan in there too.

For South Africa

G. Smith
Gibbs
M.Van Wyk
R Van Der Merve
J P Duminy
Albie Morkel
M.boucher
R Mclaren
T.Henderson
Johan Botha
CK Langeveldt

Quite a few T20 specialists and probably two of the best finishers in the world in Morkel and Henderson. There is maybe too few specialist bowlers but sadly none of the current crop of internationals are real T20 players.

Virender Sehwag
Gautam Gambhir
Robin Uthappa
Yuvraj Singh
MS Dhoni
Suresh Raina
Yusuf Pathan
Murali Kartik <- Miles better then Harbhajan at T20.
Praveen Kumar
Zaheer Khan
Sreesanth

I hate having Yuseless in there, but Dhoni loves him...

Here's my aussie one
1.Warner
2.Haddin (WK)
3.Ponting (C)
4.M.Hussey
5.D.Hussey
6.Symonds
7.Krezja
8.M.Johnson
9.Bracken
10.Lee
11.Hilfenhaus

This is the un-risky side in my opinion. Almost 100% at least one player from the batting order will post a good score. Warner and Haddin as openers because they both can hit a few 6's while the fields in. Ponting at no.3 just because he's one of the best batsmen in the world. The two Hussey's next. Mike is just in there because he can always hit at least one run each ball. Dave is there because he can really hit the ball even though his international career is bad. I was there when he belted Tassie around for like a 40 ball 100 and it was superb. Symonds is there because he's so explosive and can slow the game down with D.Hussey in the bowling if the other team is spanking along. Krezja is next and people might think of it as a suprise I put him in the team as he got belted around in his tests but oh boy can this fella bowling well. His KFC bigbash games were very good hardly ever conceding over 6 an over. The fast bowling attack is just scary. They can all hit a ball also which might come in handy.

Oohh..Murali Kartik, nice pick.

I think Bhajji is pretty decent for T20s. He's given up flight as it is, might as well let him tie up an end in T20s. Him and Kartik, Zaheer and one of Praveen/RP/SS would be a nice attack. With one of the Pathan brothers and Viru as backup.

No, not we, you are the main idiot. Posting rubbish things like this.............
Besides, who are you to call us idiots?

It was largely rubbish, I'll agree, but you bolded Carseldine, one of the best players he put in. If only that guy was 5-10 years younger. He's a gun, and would be a fair bit higher in the order if that squad was actually picked.

I don't know much about aussie domestic cricket, and Caeseldine was a highly unknown name for me- that's why I bolded him. Anyway, now as you have said this I'll check his stats in cricinfo.

King Cricket added 15 Minutes and 19 Seconds later...

Just checked them. Looks pretty impressive, specially his T-20 stats, but he's too old to play for Australia.

I've got to make one change. Take Pathan out and get Abhishekh Nayar in there. Then its perfect.

My XI

1. Virender Sehwag
2. Gautam Gambhir
3. Sikhar Dhawan/Suresh Raina
4. Yuvraj Singh
5. Yusuf Pathan
6. R. Jadeja/S Badrinath/Rohit Sharma/Wriddhiman Saha
7. MS Dhoni (c) (wk)
8. Irfan Pathan (Whatever he may be in the ODI's, when it comes to T-20 he's a specialist)
9. Vajji Singh
10. Zaheer Khan
11. RP Singh (Same as Pathan)

No Ishant, he's not a T-20 bowler.

12th Man: Amit Mishra
