Tomorrow im releasing a super patch with a challenging patch in it, try it out. The link to my download thread is in my sig.

add boss's extreme patches. They make it so real and hard. Its terrific.

I think that the bowling is far too easy but I must admit, I think that they have batting right. Dissapointed with the bowling though. Playing as England in India. I twice bowled them out for under 100 using Giles and Vaughan as bowlers. (doesnt seem likey with India's batting line up does it??). This was on 'Hard' Level.

hell no. that **** is hard as **** on pc. i just got it, and i can't even bat worth ****.....i might get a run off of leg by but **** it is hard. i dont even know the damn controls and i did not get a manual with the game so i dont know the key s:(

Cricket 2005 Hints & Tips By Hero MEhkar
hope all of u will glad to read it:-

When batting in one days, don't go full steam ahead because of the restrictions, in most of the matches I have played (two full county seasons) my highest one day score is 613-2 and I got three centuries because my players were full of confidence. My first 14/15 overs go for about 105 runs, then when they are full of confidence there is no ground big enough.
When you are bowling, bowl lots of different types of balls. This confuses the batsman more and you get more dismissals! Yorkers are not very good because they always hit me for a six. (get the different deliveries from the bowling menu before you start to bowl -
Use the 'o' button on the ps2 version of the game all the time. I don't worry about my players batting confidence. I just go to the legside of the wicketsz and use the 6 hit button with 'o'. I do this just before the bowler releases the ball. This has great results, my highest 20 over ODI score is 543/2 with India.
For easy wickets on easy level - Use right arm medium bowlers (e.g. Collingwood) and bowl as short a delivery as possible just left of the offside stump with no pace at all. This delivery just rolls along the groud and the batsmen can't play it. My best bowling figures are 0-10.
For easy wickets on easy level - Use right arm medium bowlers (e.g. Collingwood) and bowl as short a delivery as possible just left of the offside stump with no pace at all. This delivery just rolls along the groud and the batsmen can't play it. My best bowling figures are 0-10.
When you are bowling, come around the wicket with a fast bowler. Pitch the ball just in front of the batsmens foot. Then put a fielder out straight, and at mid on. Get the bowling meter high, and, in one dayers, the batsmen will either miss completely or hit it straight to mid on or the fielder straight. -
When bowling against tailenders use a spin bowler and bowl a full toss. The lower order batters usually go for a big hit and miss the ball which easily mops up the innings.
I tend to bowl five deliveries across the batsmen which he will leave or hit to mid off. I then follow it up with a straight ball and it bowls them nine times out of 10!
When bowling to opening batsmen bowl a short pitched slower ball and you'll get the AI batsmen out most of the time -
One way to bowl a team out in quick succession (one day matches) is to bowl on the leg side of a batsmen. Put the ball on leg stump and as full as possible as slow as possible. The batsman will go for a hook/pull type shot, but will get bowled or lbw.
When you get the chance to use the 'slow ball' bowl it just before half way and a touch to the left, bowl it to full power. Just about everytime I get the batter bowled with this. Practise it in the nets -
When you'ra batting in a test match, walk to the offside of the wickets and stand so your just fully exposing them, then when you play your shot, always use the right directional button for a right hander, and vica versa, then nearly every ball they bowl (apart from bouncers), you will most likely hit for six to the legside. Good luck.
In test matches and first class matches the fielding team will change the field depending on the type of bowler and the number of runs the batter has got. I find it easier to just get 1's and 2's until the batter reaches about 35. The fielders will then surround the wicket with one fielder on the off side. Then, whenever the bowler pitches it slightly short, you can play a shot to the leg side off the back foot (Y on xbox, triangle on PS2). The shot will uselly go over the fielders or go through the fielders legs. This will get you loads of 4's and 6's. (When your batter reaches about 75, the fielders will push to the boundrie and stop you getting many runs. When this happens, just go for 1's and 2's)
In an unlimited overs match, get as many boundaries as possible without playing too aggresively, when your batter's confidence is about 4 bars full, spend about 5 or 6 overs playing loads of defencive shots, but coming out of the crease when you do (B on xbox, O on PS2). This will get your batters confidence up loads. Do this untill the confidence is full, then watch as your batter gets boundary after boundary -
When bowling in a one dayer, use a straight delivery and pitch the ball just between the batsman's feet and the middle/leg stump. 9 times out of 10 the CPU batsman will play a hook and miss getting out lbw. -When bowling in a test match, just use two leg spinners. Keep bowling yorkers (from the off side), changing the pace, and the batsman won't score runs but he'll soon make a mistake. This works on the first 6 batsmen but just bowl full tosses to finish off the tail enders.
When bowling in both test matches and one dayers, try doing an leg-cutter just outside off stump - sometimes the batsman will not play it but when he does, there's a high chance he'll edge it straight to the wicket-keeper. When i played with Hampshire and bowled with mascharanes, off 2 overs he edged 3 to the wicket-keeper - but what may happen as with me, the wicket-keeper may drop it. Good luck! -
Create your own batsmen and give him full stats. When batting against spinners, on the medium length bowls, advance from the wicket (doing a six hit) and hit it straight or slightly legside. You will almost always hit it for six. I got 200 runs with one batsman doing this.
When you are bowling to a left hand batsman select a fast bowler like Shoaib Akhtar and bowl an outswinging delivery with no pace. Aim the delievery in the area of off-stump and where the wicket and ground intersect each other and you will always bowl the batsman out.
When bowling in a one dayer use a fast bowler (Shoiab Akhtar) and pitch the ball in front of the batsman's legs swinging into him (right hander) and the wickets will tumble down.

PLz tell me what kind of hints these r.
