Cricket 2005 v/s Brian Lara International Cricket 2005

If you want realism its Cricket 2005, if you want fun its Brain Lara international cricket 2005.

BLIC Multiplayer is the best, because your opposition always has to think, and you will always face a challenge! CK2005 sucks big time, cause really I get bored by the time Akthar gets to the pitch and then jumps up and bowls like Tait, actually everyone bowls like Tait. :D

i like playing Cricket 2005 against the AI
and BLIC 05 against friends
yah me too, me and ma friends have tournaments when the come over or whe i go to their house...s fun

I think they are both good games, ea05 is very realistic but sometimes too boring. I've got RPIC on ps2 and love it. The shot direction is very to good, to the point where I can try hit a gap in the field and go through it. At first bowling was hard and needed a autoplay feature but after a few tests I love bowling. There is a real challenge to get wickets on state level.

With a few more tournaments, domestic and a few little gameplay fixes RPIC/BLIC would be a very good game.

Cricket 2005 is way better and realistic than BL 2K5... If by 'fun' you mean how easily you can score runs then BL 2K5 is indeed more fun but for morr realism, u gotta play cricket 2K5

BLIC could be made into a very good game with these 2 points:
Realistic speeds.
Swap round the Cpus batting configs for difficulty levels.

If there was a way to play the Comp in a way that had you batting on test mode, but bowling on county it would definately be a more challenging game already :)

naah... even that wudn't do coz you can still slog more runs in 'Test' mode than what AI can score on 'Village' level :)

Plus AI doesn't believe in taking singles

Don't you always say things like cricket 2005 is way too easy and you score massive totals comfortably??

I just had good fun "playing myself" .... thats playing myself, there's no with in that sentence ;)

I batted with England on test in a ODI 50 over game and set a total, then saved and quit, reloaded, moved the cursor across and tried to beat the score with Australia. Unfortunately I enjoy bowling but there's little point if I want a decent match. I guess another way of doing it would be to bowl both innings, and having restricted the comp to a low score, attempt to keep the next innings lower.

James,
It took me more than a month to reach the stage where I can hammer AI bowling to all parts... on BL 2K5 it took me 3-4 days to work it out.

Secondly, I can hammer away on cricket 2005 using 'advance down the wicket' shots and I have suggested that EA should do something about it - rest of the shots (front foot & back foot) are still not easy to master and you have to bide your time before scoring using those options.

I have suggested EA should incorporate same level of difficulty in cricket 2005 and BLIC 2K5 should be made more challenging overall as far as batting and AI is concerned.

Puddleduck, that's what I do... play "against" myself :)

Since AI refuses to chase anything more than 150 in odis, I bat for both the teams and it's fun. But it wud be better if AI is improved and maybe 'Autoplay' feature is incorporated along with ramping up difficulty in batting.
