I've had nine runouts in an innings. There isn't even time for the keeper to take one of these janky catches.

A documentary about the saga of Bug Ant and the state of cricket gaming? I think this is more like a Shakespearean tragedy.

Almost sounds like c22 fielding was actually better. Don't remember the sliding on pitch, sidestepping nonsense,100 per cent stop success when diving for ball in outfield. Scary to think it may have actually regressed.....

I've been playing c22 everyday recently and I can tell you that fielders definitely slide on the pitch and sidestep. They don't have 100% success when diving for a ball, but they do often stand still, wait until the ball has rolled next to them, then dive over it so it rolls to the boundary. I don't own c24, but from what I've seen from streamers, it is a more polished game than c22.

You had any catches to slips I’ve plsyed 4 tests over 3 patches now and not had a genuine slip catch without turning the AI to rookie

I've been playing c22 everyday recently and I can tell you that fielders definitely slide on the pitch and sidestep. Believe me I was not saying 22 was a polished product lol .. Deleted 22 a good while ago was hoping this would be a good step up but yea see nothing to say it worthy of £50 . Frustrating but expected.

Game had so much variety till November 9th now it's dull and boring. If nothing works they should revert back to 9th patch and say that this is the best they can do and ask apologies for the things they advertised and what cannot be fullfilled.

I got a couple on the first proper xbox patch and I was happy with that given that I was playing on a sub-continent track with swing on less than 10, so behind the wicket catches were expected to be low. Can't comment on the latest patch however.

Yeh I had a variety of wickets on first Xbox patch after that nothing it’s boring just waiting for a run out

I actually had a wicket caught at deep backward square off a lofted pull shot. In a test match too.

It was a pretty satisfying one I must say.

I've had only one in 3 test matches all played on Green pitch.
Most importantly the play and miss have mostly gone out of the window. No matter how tight I bowl the AI always plsys the ball comfortably untill they get out. When the game came out one thing I enjoyed very much was bowling. That was mainly because I felt that the game rewarded good bowling by near misses & realistic dismissals. That is not there anymore.

Funny game this is. Never had the runout issues everyone else is having (I play on semi assisted fielding).

That was true until the latest patch lol. Had 2 run-outs one after the other in a test match last innings. I let the first one slide but second one was absolutely suicidal and made me quit and restart.

There's also an issue where your batsman doesn't get back in their crease following a failed advanced shot. So the WK just throws down the stumps each time.

To be honest it's getting to the stage where I either can't be bothered to raise a ticket as the issue won't be sorted or I'm scared to as it could cause further damage if BA try and fix.

Well , played 1 hour of test around 25 overs & played one t20 innings bowling , fast bowlers are ok , but for spinners keepers are now taking everything edged, keeper still not collecting throws, fielder are taking catch & going outside boundary, AI still getting run out and a lot unpolished things still there...overall its still feeling not good, they should just rollback previous good patch for time being

I was feeling pretty good about finally starting my career mode (I had stopped the auto updates on PS5 last update 31 October 2023). Today, it just updated by itself and now I can't start.

Oh dear. They’ve released 0.2.2056 on ps5 and it’s terrible.
