cricket broadcasting in india ?

well in england all the cricket matches r broadcasted by sky sports and in australia..its channel nine...but in india its different story

they r like 4sports channel
espn/star sports/star cricket- they broadcast matches which r played in england,australia,newzland,zimbabwe,south africa,bangladesh

neo sports- matches which r played in india

ten sports-srilanka,west indies,pakistan

set max-world cups and champions trophy

y cant one channel or one network broadcast all these matches...y four channels.....bcci shud award the cricket matches rights to espn and star sports..coz they have big network and they have 3 channels in their network..and espn star sports is hugely popular in india

well the problem is that some people in india cant afford every sports channel...and its really irritating wen ur cable opertator doesnt include the channel wen india is playin a match

Well it's about 6 rupees for a channel a month if you choose a-la-carte. In Chennai at least.
Not that expensive.

The BCCI could make a lot of money if they simply made their own set of cricket channels. One for domestic, one for foreign and one for Indian international cricket. If it was not ludicrously expensive, the BCCI could charge a moderate amount for it and keep all the proceeds to themselves with almost every cricket fan household in India (I reckon there is probably a lot) buying the channel.

With all their money, they could also provide a half decent production value which was certainly not present in some of the recent series I have seen streamed by Sky Sports from an Indian channel.

y i prefer espn star sports coz they have good commentry team ...their telecast is dvd quality ..also the cricket shows during the match is also good...

neo sports ten sports and set max lack the quality..and thanx good neo sports is there..orelse all the indians wud have been tortured by dd sports..which has the wost commentry team and probaly worst camera angles lolllz

I think half of india dont receive Neo Sports and Neo Plus. Although it is available in the Tata Sky DTH platform.

well neo sports is better than dd sports...we saw likes of damien fleming n miachel slater...in the commentry team...so somewhat better than neo sports...dont know abt neo sports plus..i guess it has local languages...

i think indian government passed a rule..that all odis and twenty20 matches shud be tlecasted by dd 1

the thing wit neo sports is they put lot of ads...sumtimes they miss the first ball of the over..

I have the choice of buying NEO for Rs199 for the year.This is for TataSky platform.
I decided not to buy it.

The worst part of Neo is they are no-where near world-class and they keep airing those stupid happydent chewing gum ads.It is irritating.

well i have 3 tvs in my home...can i connect tata sky to those three tvs?u know like splitting

if its not possible..then cable is still the best...u can put some 100 tvs in ur home and connect them lol

Same situation at my place also.
We have three t.vs at home.

And 1 TataSky dish is good enough for them.
I believe you can have 4 connections from one dish,for Tatasky.

for example in one tv im watchin star movies..and in another tv i want to watch hbo is that possible?..coz some dth services dont let u watch diff channels..all the tvs will showthe same channel which ur viewing in the first tv

No with Tatasky it is possible to do so.
Infact,you have have 3 different channels runnign on 3 different tv sets at the same time.
I'm quite happy with Tatasky.Only you will not get ZEE zports on it.

I am quite satisfied with Tatasky. Good pic quality. Good sound quALITY
