Lithuania continue to struggle as they fall to strong Norwegian bowling

Norvegija laimėjo Lobizmas ir užmušt pirmas
Lietuva: 136 (Gudonis 58, Osness 33-2)
Norvegija: 137/6 (Underburg 38nu, Kairys 35-3)
Norvegija laimėjo keturių užribiai
Lithuania lost their first game in Kiribati, although both sides will have concerns over their performances in this match. On a pitch that very much favoured the bowling side Lithuania fought to make a game of it, but ultimately they were unable to defend a very weak total of 136.

Arturas Gudonis's 58 was the only notable batting performance of Lithuania's innings but no other batsman was able to remain with him for any length of time: the longest partnership being one of 36 for the fifth wicket. Ignas Luksa started the continual haemorrhaging of wickets by falling in the last ball of the first over for a two-ball duck, and with the exception of Gudonis no other batsman managed to score a significant amount of runs. This may have been because of high quality bowling by Norway's new ball attack of Osness and Ulberg, who took three wickets each at below four an over. The only real weakness in the Norwegian attack was the bowling of Bendixen, who the Lithuanian batsmen seemed to make an effort to attack.

Norway took their time and played very conservative cricket while chasing the target; only managing to score three fours and two sixes over the course of their innings. A solid opening performance by Michaelson and a composed middle order innings by Underberg provided a much more solid base to Norway's innings when compared to that of Lithuania: although they also lost more wickets that they would have wanted to: the largest partnership of the innings was a 64 ball 33 between Underberg and Cristoffer Teigland. The Lithuanian bowlers almost managed to make the impossible look possible: with Tomas Kairys managing to take three wickets, albeit comparatively expensively. The captain seemed to bowl defensively in order to try and give his seamers more chances to take wickets, although he managed to get Lauritzen out after he edged a straight ball onto his stumps.

Speaking to LRT Radijas after the game Lithuanian coach Simonas Žvirblys spoke about what changes may be made prior to Lithuania's next game again [ill add this later]. "We have to look at our batting, that's been what has failed us prior to this game. Mindaugas and myself will meet at some point to talk about what can be done there. Even on that sort of pitch a score of 130 isn't particularly great: we were realistically 50 short. The bowling is solid: we think that combination will work well in Kiribatian conditions and this game seems to have proven it. Perhaps if we'd won the toss and gotten to bowl first things might have been a little different".

How we lost the 2nd test after doing so good in 1st one. Our batsmen had no clue about the pitch.

Not happy with series draw.

NCC Chairman Mr. Fazul Raqi has given a statement on the recent 3-0 loss to Jamaica and future of Niue Cricket.
Mr Raqi first said that they would be more pleased if the team would have at least one match but yet they were positives from the series like the Waaka brothers. For being asked for a explanation of the loss he replied that the team required a bit more time to move from Kilikiti to Cricket.

He also said that the NCC are working very hard on bringing Niue Domestic Leagues live. They are aiming at this time on 3 team leagues.

Spain won their second one day match against Argentina and therefore wrapped up the 3 match series. Winning the toss and electing to bowl, the skipper Dillinger must have been pondering as to whether he had made the correct decision as the tourists started strongly aided by some loose bowling on a flat track. At the halfway point Argentina were 180/3 and looking well on their way to putting on an intimidating total.
This was not the case though and after an expensive earlier spell, leg-spinner Vallecillo came back into the attack and produced a mesmerizing spell, tearing through the lower order and took 5 wickets to turn the game completely on its head and leave Spain requiring 255 to win.

Star player Rodas De Gracia continued his red-hot form with the bat. After getting out disappointingly on 99 in the previous match, he was in no mood to repeat the same mistake. This time around he scored a magnificent 115 before being out LBW and was supported superbly by Aguado(62) and their partnership set up the victory for the match and the series.

Afghanistan to play their first ever ODI against Sri Lanka in Colombo

The Brighto Paints ODI series between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan will be the first in the middle-eastern country's small, yet significant cricketing history. A country that was devastated by the horrors of war, is now ready to look at the future, and just like their asian neighbours Pakistan, cricket will be their ambassador to show the world that they're ready. Afghanistan applied for ICC full membership after the Knockout Cup and obtained it immediately. Iniatially the ICC's governing council was sceptical to give full membership to a country whose cricket board was founded just 1 month before, but thanks to the support to them shown by the ICC Chairman, @The Author and the ICC Chief Executive, @VC the slogger , Afghanistan obtained full membership to the delight of millions of fans, including their President and ACB's Patron-in-Chief, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani. They immediately managed to organise a Test Tri-Series at home involving South American arch-rivals Brazil and Argentina.
Brazil won the tournament, but Afghanistan won the heart of their fans, achieving their first ever international victory against La Albiceleste at Nangarhar.
"Despite losing the test match, we're still confident that we can put up a good performance in the one-dayers. Most of us have already played limited-overs cricket at domestic level, so i don't think inexperience will be a problem. We've got a really talented bunch of cricketers, and if we play our cricket well, there's no telling where this team can go" said Afghani captain Talha Hayat in the pre-match press conference. He also announced the line-up Afghanistan will field:
