you mean making patches is a crime ?
No, though it contravenes most EULAs, which has never been called a crime in any court.

Members are welcome to post any patch that works with the Steam or future retail versions of the game, including a modified roster.

Okay, I have tried a lot to work on the CR archives. I am only able to find that some deflate or PGP type of algorithm/encryption may be used however I am not sure because the file headers of the CR archives seems like the normal encrypted zip archive .(PKZIP).

If they have really used PGP encryption that it may be impossible to open the archives.

Yes, it is a ZIP file, you don't need to look at the headers to figure that out, and it is about the 5th time you've said that in this thread.
 
what about teams, is there anyway we can make a unique team like TAOC is going to have, or are we stuck with the set international teams

Actually, I was confused a bit after I got some traces of PGP Encryption or something like Deflate.

I think the algorithm implemented in PKZIP is used here.
 
Does anyone know how to get past the letter limit for names?
 
Im struggling to beat the name limit aswell. Is it possible using a hex editor?

I can't get it. Are you guys are facing name limit prob in hex editor or in game? If in hex editor then use Replace option
You can't change the offsets. You can only replace the ascii chars but if you'll try to insert a ascii character then roster will get corrupted.
