Cricket2005!!!!!!!!!

I just hope that it's been in the pipes for a while and isn't made in a hurry due to the poor Cricket 2004. Hopefully, it's being made by different studios who will put more care into the game.

I can't believe they're going to release a C2k5. I remember Andrew Wilson talking about the 18 month development cycle on cricket games before c2k4 was released.

that isn't good news then....maybe they'll release it in 2006. or perhaps december 31st 2005. who knows...it'll probably be a substandard game but then there will be room for improvement from the good people here! cricket 2004 did really blow me away (in a good way) after cricket 2002. i didn't expect it to be that in-depth, whatwith the bugs.

although there's still areas they could improve.

i haven't been around here in a while, but i think they had a weird face system where they only had a set of like 30 faces. the old system of a face for every player was better, especially since there aren't a huge amount of players around the world (as in cricketers).

thazall.

didn't andrew also talk about a patch? no news of that yet.

Perhaps Cricket 2005 was being developed concurrently with 2004, by different studios, to be released later.
Maybe EA has seen that 2004 is below par and has rescheduled 2005's release.

cmon guyz we need more votes
and i dont quite understand why all this secrecy behind EA's policies
i mean if they making a ck2k5 let us know man !!

Perhaps this is the same as Cricket 2004 but with the bugs sorted and a few extra bits to sell it, after all
with the size of the gob file wasn't it almost impossible to patch 2K4 ???

It was discussed amongst us at another cricket game forum........

This is one of two things.....

a) to show demand for another cricket game.......maybe like they did with Cricket 2002 on the PC, they'll release a version of the game that will sell......

b) the webmaster assumed that since Rugby and Cricket are made by EA, they are released every year, and by put those two titles down, even though HB-Studios is taking time off, and not going to develop any such games for another year or so......

I think cricket 2005 will be just a "bug-free" version of 2004,with a few things added here n there.

"bug-free" LMAO, nothing ever created by EA will be bug-free. They're bug-prone!

even worse i dont think they will ever release a pathc for c2k4

That does sound like extreme optimism. Whilst I wouldn't put it past EA to release a 'patched' version and charge us all again I can't imagine it being bug free for a moment.

:P it can be a extended version of c2k4 maybe all the features
which andrew wilson mentioned ,and which were not there in c2k4 , i think they kept it for a extension , and release it for 2005 ,like the players career mode ,

buy sell players, i think this wil surely will be there in 2005 :P

And they'll probably delete some features just to keep us on the edge of our seats :)

hmm....i also have lost all faith in EA.
I hope they have an option to view highlights and save hghlights and replays.
Also the graphics shuld improve along with the commentry.
