Its a configuration pack which enables enhanced IQ all the while giving better framerates due to more tweaking in them. Something crytek should've done and will most likely do with Warhead, but it made original crysis even better. :)

I just finished the game (again :p) today and had the same experience I had the first two times, only this time I did everything differently, especially inside the cave! :p

I noticed this line in Crysis, when we ask Psycho where had he been, on the ship deck, he says "You wouldn't want to hear that friend, you wouldn't believe where I have been". I guess Crytek had this planned beforehand, and what stops them from making a Prophet expansion pack too? :p

I wonder if we would finally see Nomad's face, and see our old self destroying that warship lol, would be fun. :p

Has anyone got the game? Mine arrived today and it is amazing. The gameplay/graphics are almost identical to the first Crysis and so is performance. However, playing as Psyco is so much more fun. The game is spposedly short but only doen first couple of missions so far. Ai is alot better aswell.

However, I am surprised to see no 64bit version of Crysis Warhead. Hopefully a patch will fix this. Will post screens soon.

You know I won't! Sorry but I took these in the 2nd/3rd mission but they aren't really spoilers so here goes!

Enabling DX10 reduces frames by a fair bit so until a 64bit patch comes out DX9 will have to do. Fore some reason, these pics don't look as good as the real thing, maybe because I saved them as jpg? Still as you can see explosions look better, and performance is good. My FPS is shown in the top right, usually about 40 but has gone as low as 25-26!

Flamethrowers! (actually just petrol station tanks!)

All in all very pleased with warhead and with new Ati drivers and crysis patches/configs the best is yet to come! Now to get back to my gaming.:D

Just tried saving as png format and looks a little better but still not great...

Can't you use steam and direct2drive over there? They were very quick to open Crysis for download and you can't wreck your disc either lol.

lol When you would see my Internet speed you would Cry. If I were to download Crysis from steam it would take me like 6 days lol. :p

Hahah, I only get a pitiful 110kb/s if its a fabulous day, I'm usually lumbered with about 70. Thats the countryside for you :(

I'm doing loads of work at the moment, but I'll try and get some screens up later today, and do some tweaking when on Enthusiast.

EDIT: Went round to my mates today, he's got a new TV, so we decided to put the 4870x2 through its paces. On an Enthusiast config, these were taken at the absurd resolution of 2560x1600. Needless to say, they coped fantastically, benchmarking at 32fps average. The PC has 4GB of RAM, and an AMD 3.0ghz Quad Core.

I'm not going to link them here by , as it may make the page just a little too wide. Theres a lot of explosions :)

His TV is 30", ridiculous really, he won it in a raffle too, so lucky :|

I've found using the old CCC's work quite well. I'm using the very high one, and its helping the FPS along nicely, although I'm getting a few stutters here and there. Most probably need to wait for the Warhead tweakguide, as there will be a few commands that arent in the original Crysis.

Still, here's a link for people struggling for FPS with either Crysis or Warhead. Run that little prog and you're basically guranteed to get higher FPS and more eye candy.
