Was just thinking about the lack of available "pop up" scorecard information during the game and the ability to access "career stats" on demand...

What about. DBC14 companion app that can sync with the game to display that information as we play? That way there's no need to change the way the game functions currently and we can have on-demand access to stats, averages, career stats and that sort of thing?

Potentially you could even sync it with the match happening so those people who want a radar could access that from their mobile device, rather than additional HUD?

Even just as a basic application to access stats on the fly and "current results" from friends playing matches recently? Share results or achievements on Facebook or Twitter?

That's a good idea Biggs - as you know us cricket fans love our stats :yes

I like the view of Your iPad/phone doubling up as an interactive scoreboard as you play and as you say it would save breaking the flow of the game to keep track of things.

...roll on the PC release - the wait for this on PC will end up driving me crazy

Sounds good, whip that up for us over the weekend please.

Getting the academy as a mobile companion would be useful too. Especially the field editor. And by routing it through the PC version of the academy it should all be shareable on all platforms.

My idea of being able to mow the pitch into custom patterns is also still available.

This would be most useful in T20's when your trying to work out who's bowled their overs.

I know @BigAntStudios has some experience in mobile games... I would pay $2 for a companion app?

This would be perfect

Would love to alter the default fields this way as I do feel they need some amendment :thumbs

Just out of interest how viable an option would this be? In that would there be a huge cost to develop an app like this?

No idea, that's why I started the thread. Guessing @Ross will be able to let us know if he pops by. I think there's a tonne of stuff in the academy that would transfer across to a mobile platform easily and make a little bit of coin for the @BigAntStudios guys, but whether it's worth the time? Not sure...

Certainly things like the field settings would be a useful thing to have, plus the sharing of scoreboards and stuff would translate well into a mobile app.

I'm not sure how keen Sony/Microsoft would be: for PC it would be totally fine (which is why the academy route would make sense: that all channels through already approved sharing mechanics...)
I'll bet they'd like a Vita/Surface second screen experience though.

Maybe they can use Xbox Smartglass so it will work with Windows, Android and iOS?

For PS3, they can make an app just like how GTA V has a companion app.
