Better side. Kemar roach in, just look at the last bottom half of the names. World XI. Great.

Hopefully we can go back to back, come on Gilly.

Going into last season our local bowling was our worry, but we shone in that department. Ojha is the second best spinner in the competition, and RP Singh was easily the best fast bowler.

Fidel Edwards was brilliant at times, and now with Kemar Roach it's even stronger. Ryan Harris performed well towards the end as well. And then of course there's our batting, with Gilly and Symonds the big two, and Rohit Sharma, Laxman, Teja, Suman, Yadav and Rao giving them good support.

Plus, our bench strength is formidable with Gibbs and Styris on the sidelines.

Our core international 4 should revolve around Gilly, Roach, Roy and Smith/Gibbs/Styris :happy

Best balance of batsmen, allrounders and bowlers.

i think it's a good team, gilchrist will once again be vital to our success.

however, i think we'll see some of the indian players in the team have a lot of success this season.

can't wait for it to begin though

Home Grounds

Grounds
Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium-Hyderabad

Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium (formerly known as Visakha International Stadium) is the principal cricket stadium in Hyderabad, India and is the home ground of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA). It is located in Uppal, an eastern suburb of the city. It has a capacity of 40,000 spectators presently and extends across 16 acres (65,000 m2) of land. The previous capacity was 55,000, however it has been reduced to 40,000 for the Indian Premier League matches. The ends are named Pavilion End and North End.The jinx about this stadium is that the home team has never won a match here.

ACA-VDCA Stadium- Visakhapatnam

ACA-VDCA Stadium (Andhra Cricket Association-Vishakapatnam District Cricket Association), is a multi-purpose stadium in Visakhapatnam, India. It is currently used mostly for cricket matches. The stadium was built in 2003 and has a capacity of 46,000 people. It was given Test status in 2007 and recently upgraded to host a D/N match in view of the upcoming Indian Premier League.

The stadium has hosted two ODI matches with the host team - India winning both of these matches and is a confirmed venue for upcoming Indian Premier League.

Recently this stadium was renamed to ACA-VDCA-YSR Stadium. But most sections of people in Visakhapatnam and the region opposed this and want it to be named after Col. C K Naidu, a local celebrity on whose name a Lifetime Achievement Award is presented by BCCI which is one of the highest awards given in Indian cricket.

looks like a solid roster...and the current form of ryan harris strengthens it even more

Binnu what area do you live in HYD??

Ramanthapur.... 1/2 KM away from RGICS and oops... Opening Match to be held in Hyderabad.(:)for all other hyderabadis and :facepalm for me. We have English Intermediate Exam on 13th March.:facepalm)

Binnu added 4 Minutes and 52 Seconds later...

And Amar, now VDCA is "YS Rajashekar Reddy Stadium". Oops. Sorry., Its "Dr. Late Y.S. Rajashekar Reddy Stadium".
The Andhra Womens Cricket Players protested for Naming the stadium after him after he announced 2 lakh compensation for the gals of Chamundeshwar Nath Scandal.
BTW, Good Luck Chargers. Don't dare to win at Vizag. If you do that, Al Hyderabadi six hitting will turn to Al Hyderabad Water bottle Hitting:D:laugh

If DC loose even 1 away game they are out of this as they will win 0 game at home ;)
