Desert T20 Challenge

The Desert T20 Challenge is a T20I tournament consisting of the 8 top associate nations, divided into two groups of 4 each, to battle it out for the best. It was first and last held in 2017 in the UAE when :afg: Afghanistan won beating :ire: Ireland in the final.

With both the teams now full-members, the 8 teams in this competition will be as follows-

:sco: Scotland (@Till Valhalla)
:ned: Netherlands (@Aravind.)
:nam: Namibia (@Neptune)
:oma: Oman (@Andrin Issac)
:uae: United Arab Emirates (@pillowprocter)
:nep: Nepal (@Disharies)
:png: Papua New Guinea (@Neo 7)
:hkg: Hong Kong (@ShamiLoverGlipGlops)

The 8 sides will be divided into 2 groups of 4 each, where the two top teams will qualify to the Semi Finals. Winners of Semi Finals move onto the Final and contest for the trophy, as always. The current edition will be held across the Gulf in Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

Al Amerat Cricket Stadium, Al Amerat, Muscat

The home ground of the Oman National Team will Host all the Group Games of one of the two groups- mostly the one that does not have Oman in it.

West End Park International Cricket Stadium, Doha

Qatar's only Cricket Stadium that has hosted 3 ODIs will be the venue for the other group, likely the one with Oman in it.

Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi

The stadium in UAE's capital will host the two semi final games.

Dubai International Stadium, Dubai

The Venue for the Grand Finale will be none other than the finest Cricket Stadium in the gulf, in Dubai.

These were the same 8 teams as the 2017 edition, and it's Hong Kong because they have a better all-time T20 player pool for the sim. I was thinking USA/Canada, but I think Hong Kong will make for better picks.

Scotland or HK.
Which one? You're free to call dibs for any of them
