I will go with jakati rather than Chahal because of experience

As far as Dubai is concerned, both Jakati and Chahal are one and the same (zero experience). And also, Chahal has edge because of his mind blowing economy of 5.59.

My line ups:

at Chinnaswamy:

1) Vijay Zol
2) Chris Gayle
3) Virat Kohli
4) AB de Villiers
5) Yuvraj Singh
6) Albie Morkel
7) Tanmay Mishra/Parthiv
8) Ravi Rampaul
9) Varun Aaron
10) Shadab Jakati/ Yuzuvendra Chahal
11) Ashoke Dinda/Harshal Patel

at Away games/ Dubai:

1) Parthiv Patel
2) Chris Gayle
3) Virat Kohli
4) Yuvraj Singh
5) Vijay Zol
6) Alble Morkel / AB de Villiers (depending on pitch conditions)
7) Tanmay Mishra/Yogesh Takwale
8) Mitchell Starc
9) Ravi Rampaul/Muttaiah Muralidharan (depending on pitch conditions)
10) Shadab Jakati/Yuzuvendra Chahal
11) Varun Aaron/Ashoke Dinda (depending on how good they performed in last match :p )

Accept it or not y'all RCBians, you've got the sh**test side tbh. All you are capable to do that you can stand a huge total in first inning but there's not a great bowling attack to defend it well and you'll keep conceding runs even you came first to bowl or second.;)

Shadab Jakati
Albie Morkel

I don't understand why do you think so. In T20 cricket- that too being played on sub continent, barring few exceptional cases, you cannot take any bowler for granted. There are times when the best bowler of India was hammered brutally by a young batsmen in IPL. And guess what- we have one exceptional case- Muttiaih Muralidharan. And you still think we have poor bowling.

Just don't go by the names buddy- see the talent in young players. Who knows, next Steyn is hiding in reds:spy.

Ahan! With De Villiers, Gayle, Starc and Morkel/Rampaul in there's a no room for Muralitharan, is there? You've other spin choices Chahal and Jakati. Can't predict about the Chahal as the talent yet to be proved(hoping for a great bowler in Indian side) and it would be credulous if you hope Jakati will do something exceptional. I don't see him as a magical bowler or a specialist as he has been chanced already for many times in previous seasons and still couldn't prove his ability, could he? Check out his stats and you will get all about his attainment. If Muralitharan is picked in starting XI then definitely there's no room for Gayle or De Villiers to be benched and in that case you need to drop your best(?):noway bowlers Starc or Morkel/Rampaul. Plus Murali's magic seem to be overred(I shouldn't be suspicious about him though:(). He had his worse ever spells in last season. I guess he was benched many times due to his bad form.

The Chinnaswamy pitch is a flat, hard that what we call batting friendly, specially the scoring one. It is followed up to high scoring standards. So, swing skill is more about to dead there and all the Starc need to do is to bowl york and bouncers(one can't get it perfectly for all the 24 deliveries unless he is a legendary bowler even legendary bowler fails sometimes). Similarly for Morkel. The remaining main bowler in your side is Ravi Rampaul who is not a regular TT bowler.

Your side need some defensive bowlers who can slow down opponent's run rate in middle overs (8-16) so that you can stop conceding too much runs. Morkel and Starc are your strike bowlers who are capable to concede least runs in opening overs or in death overs but are punished hardly whenever bowled a spell in middle overs.

Your bowling department can perform better only if they're told or taught some high ordered tactics to trouble bowlers and they need to apply it properly as expected according the plans else they might not perform well with their natural skills. Waiting to watch them.:thumbs

Rcb should have looked to sign ojha or rahul sharma in the auction. Spin department is looks weak atm

^ Yup hope the only two recognised spinners do well. seeing last match the pitch supported spinners, and as far as i know Sharjha is a flat deck hope Rcb to prevail but in this format cant say anything

Murali is old enough now- so he won't be obvious choice into the XI. But in case if the regular ones are being strongly hammered on regular basis, then Murali will be in the XI in the odd games.

I agree with you regarding Chahal. Regarding Jakati- he should probably concentrate on his game more than what he did earlier (to CSK) considering the role he has in RCB is totally different. If he can analyse himself and deliver it, probably he could be trump card for RCB.

Well, if we could play one among AB and Albie, we can make room for extra OS bowler, either it may be Rampaul and Starc or Starc and Murali or Ravi and Murali. So, problem shouldn't be of that magnitude considering we have players like Zol, who has proved himself in lower grades of cricket.

Also one bad game cannot bench players like Murali- he is old and young guns needs exposure. So probably that might have been the reason for Murali to be benched.

Ravi Rampaul is probably one of the best bowlers in T20 format. On his day, he bowls and executes all the plans whatever the situation is and whoever the batsmen may be. Exactly an year ago, RCB v DD- he got to bowl in the super over and he did exceptionally well in trapping Delhi's the then batsmen, which included Mahela Jayawardena.

Anyways, I agree that we lag in quality bowling, but considering its T20 that too on subcontinent decks, I feel its optimum for winning the title, if all the players play to their expectations:thumbs.

Some one here needs to stop thinking about Rcb and start thinking about their beloved Mi.
Well I think what he says has valid point. We lag in one quality bowler and we have to admit it.

@sahil and Yashwanth: Thinking of that now is waste of time. Now if we could think of probability with which we could have best line up would solve our problems instead of thinking what has happened in the past:thumbs.
