Why would you want to do that anyway? You'd have to buy the cables or the equipment to get it to work, and once you've done that, you may as well buy a controller that is designed for the game. It probably wouldn't work anyway - I think the z buttons on the Classic Controller do the same thing; so you'd be without either advancing down the pitch or unorthodox shots. Also; the shoulder buttons are either digital, or they are practically digital because you don't have a great deal of travel.

tl;dr: get a proper controller rather than jerry-rigging something together

No. He said that the release date would be announced before 1st February.

Technically... he said if we didn't know the date of release before then something catastrophic had happened ala Ashes 13 debarcle. It's semantics, but the point is the date remains flexible again in the public lexicon.

If I remember he said we'd know by February unless there's a catastrophe, and it could release as early as jan 1st! That's all we have to go on right now, but I'm sure its still worth making another 100 pages of "he's a liar, this game sucks, when's release date, I want keyboard support etc etc
