Don Bradman Cricket 17 General Discussion

we should be discussing how @francobaldo1 has given PC players DBC16 with his fearsome tweak hack. Absolutely changed the game from a bowling perspective!

Have you tested it in Test matches? Because I want to know if test matches are entertaining if we have edges flying around...

Anyone reckon The Academy might drop tomorrow? I would imagine either tomorrow or the next two Fridays judging by social media etc.

Yes you heard it right here. While you at it, make sure to spam Biggs and Dutch as well when if it doesn't come by then.

Can you plz tell me from where can I read his statement regarding the release of DBC 17 academy release date.

yes and no. I play 4-ball overs, 70 overs a day "test" matches.

I think the "normal pressure" hack on veteran provides a balanced outcome, far more enjoyable than without. In my current game, on veteran, a pristine pitch, clear weather, the AI are 237/6 off 96 overs and i've got 5 edges, 3 leading to wickets.

I think the patch has given better and more varied dismissals - LBWs, bowlers and edges are the majority rather than mid-on/off catches. And the new ball and conditions appear to have a better effect.

Bottom line, if the gameplay the normal pressure hack delivers came from an official BA patch, we'd be raving about it.

That's for damn sure...I'm so lazy but I want to do a write up about this match I'm currently in. Veteran, high pressure. I was bowling first to SAF as AUS. They were 82-2 on 20 overs, I got a wonderful bowled at 13-1 and then a partnership started building but then I got another making it 72-2. Shortly after the 2nd wicket they had a mini collapse, I took 3 quick wickets making it 102-5. At this point I thought "urgh" because for once AI was showing it can bat but then the tail started to slog me about and SAF finished up with a score of 244 all out which is pretty damn good for an ODI.

About the gameplay in this match, it has been amazing I've had more nicks than I can remember, some not carrying, some happening when I desperately needed a wicket, dropped catches too off of an edge....I also had a failed appeal, a settled batsmen went to slog a yorker length wide ball (outside off) it nicked, keeper caught it, umpire said no...So I appealed and then the replay showed it nicked, hit the ground and then was caught. In my own mind I thought it was out 100%, I thought maybe the umpire got it wrong and I referred it instantly.

Here's the scorecard...

It sure sounds like Franco has cracked it.
