how the hell would a spot of coloured spit make a difference to the ball. according to the rules you can apply spit or sweat to the ball during the game. watch brett lee bowling he always wipes his forehead with the ball .. is he cheating ? dravid was rubbing spit on to the ball but had pieces of lozenge in his hand .. that coloured the spit . as soon as he realised it .. he tried to rub it off ... if it was that big of an issue the umpires would have changed the ball .. Dravid did say to the match refree that he did admit he applied the coloured spit by mistake and as soon he realised it was coloured he tried to clean the ball. this in itself is a level 2 offence and that's why he was fined .. if he had really meant to cheat he would have been banned for a match or two.(eg Shoaib akhtar) dravid is a pretty stand up guy. I would think ganguly would be more inclined to cheat than anyone else in the indian team ... but not dravid . DO you really think india would cheat against zimbabwe ..and of all the people dravid ?
