Well, well.
BBC NEWS said:
Tour de France winner Floyd Landis has given a positive drugs test, according to his Phonak team.

The positive test came after stage 17 of the Tour, which saw Landis record an epic victory after struggling on the final climb the day before.

The funniest part is where it says "The 30-year-old American, who claimed victory in the Tour de France on Sunday, has tested positive for the male sex hormone testosterone." What, is he not supposed to have testosterone in his body?! Yeah, I know, he's probably taken some more externally but it still made me chuckle.

The investigation has been going on for quite some time I believe. The team conducting the investigation has said that many other sports are involved as well. It annoys me whenever I see news like this. What's the point of taking drugs? If you can't win, fine but don't cheat!! I just hope that it isn't as widespread as the team claim.

Cheating in sports is a farce now. First, all the problems in Italy with match fixing, and now another high profile scandal. What more can be done to discourage these people from cheating?

It's not proven he has cheated, testosterone is produced naturally and can be overproduced, infact there is a disease named for when Testosterone is over produced, or vice versa for women.

Adarsh, the Beeb just mucked up, they mean too high levels of testosterone.

Well, Cycling's renowned for it's drug scandals, isn't it? He's still got the B sample to go, which is apparently going to be analysed in a different lab this time to avoid 'bias', but from his amazing comeback (to which after the stumble and fatigue of the preceding days, he almost conceded defeat by saying he had 'no chance'), it's quite probable that it was indeed an injection. They're disgracing the sport, their faithful investors and sponsors, supporters, etc..

Hopefully none of this is true,as it would be a blow to the Tour itself other than Landis. Many however suspected that he took drugs during the stage where he made the massive comeback, many who watched the stage might recall him taking huge amounts of food and liquid during the stage.Hopefully as I said earlier none of this has happened.

This alleged incident is different from the other drug scandals in cycling. High levels of testosterone would point towards anabolic steroids as opposed to blood-doping which has been rampant in cycling recently. That's why I think that he really did do it - the UCI is looking for dopers, not people on steroids. So maybe he thought he could get away with it.

I think they look for everything in cycling. You just hear more about EPO because it is harder to detect and really more beneficial to the cyclist for the Tour De France. Drug cheats do need to be eliminated from sport, especially one like cycling.

Has anyone heard that the drug flloyd landis tested positive for may have been rubbed in to him by the person that massages the cyclists so they don't get cramp and things if this is true do you still think he shud be stripped of the title?

Rubbing testosterene to ease cramps ? I think not ...

No seriously it was on the news mon ami, i aint gunna make my own story up out of thin air lol and theres been incidents like this before where a mans trainer was giving him nasal spray which contained an illiegal substance neither of them knew about so these things can happen accidentally and its upto the sports person to check that anything they are taking or using doesn't contain anything bad
