At a press confernce Brian Lara was asked about West Indies chances at the World Cup:
"Well, I think Australia will be the favourites, but being the host nation we will do well and have a great chance. But at the momment we're just concerntrating on the opening match against Pakistan, who will be a tough test."
Another reporter asked how batsman Pagon was selected insead of Lawson.
"We believe that Pagon is a talented youngster, Lawson could still have a part to play, so let's leave it at that."
At Heathrow, Michael Vaughan was asked about the surprise selection of Bopara and no place for Irishman Joyce, who will now have to play for Ireland not England.
"Bopara is a really good prosect for the future...Joyce will get a chance, but we feel he should play for Ireland first and we can see how he does."
Asked on England's chances Vaughan replied, " I think this our best chance in years and I believe we have the abilty to do very well"
More to come!
