It works, its just not as easy as doing tricks in Fifa 06. and when the bal goes 20 yards ahead of you that means that your sprinting and trying to do the tricks.

I'm surprised not many have so far used a football league 2 team or a team with half a star and rise them to the top 
My current Torquay team is not in the Championship and finished 1st in both football league 2 and 1. Also I nearly defeated Chelsea in the FA Cup, I was 3-1 up just after half time, but my team was starting to get fatigued and eventually lost 4-3 on World Class mode.

@punk sk8er: Yes, the right analog stick is only for cutbacks. I never use it though...

I can't believe this......Punksk9er is calling cutbacks silly....i wonder if he has anything positive to say or is just posting on the thread to flame FIFA?By far the best football game i've played(if of course you forget the lack of teams and modes).

ok i really dont think your understanding me sachin i have said many times i like FIFA and will buy it. The reason im calling these cut backs sill are because they simply are dont help in any way dont get you past anyone so thats why........oh and also another reason why im not saying anyhting positive about it is because in the intro vid for the demo it shows some player doing a flip flap thing......so thats why its stupid why did they just put him in the vid doing a cut back instead of skill? Its riddiculos they need to stop lying!!!

The Xbox 360 version doesn't have an introduction video, unless you don't press start quickly enough.punk sk8r said:

Ok ok.......after much flamming and arguing i have decided to try and see the bright side of FIFA 07 360 thinking skateboarded cudnt be arguing for nothing now can he........so i got the demo played a Amature match then Semi-Pro then Professional and i must say i did notice some improvements from other FIFAs, the GFX are obviously good, also the gameplay has changed one thing i noticed in previous versions and the PC/PS2 one of 07 is that i owuld have 15 shots on goal on the highest difficulties well thats what made me play this more you have to build your play up properly and try and rip open the defence which is good i can see myself having a challenge with this, so i will try and get it ASAP also i like the touches of the GFX i was taking a corner and the net was moving dunno why but it looked good and the net is all big which is good.....im really picky about nets 
so i tried and did find some or 2 positives for this game which isnt bad i think they are oding well in making this game more challengeing......still some way to go but good!!!

Skill moves
In FIFA 07 on XBOX 360, dribbling will enable you to trigger skill moves and beat defending players.
Brutal Stop: [View Quicktime Video] By pressing the RT or RB button without giving any direction with the left stick, the player abruptly stops. This helps keep control of the ball and unbalance the defender by abruptly changing the pace. RT makes the player stop and maintain the direction they were originally travelling. RB makes the player stop automatically face the opponent goal. [View Quicktime Video]
Change Lane: [View Quicktime Video] Release the direction control and turn 90 degree left or right as the player is slowing down. This is best employed when a defending player is approaching the player in possession from directly ahead at pace and with a little bit of space between the two players.
Knock On: [View Quicktime Video] Tapping the right analog stick while dribbling the gamer will be able to knock the ball into space. This move is best used on the Counter Attack or when a defending player is about to tackle to either unbalance the opponent and beat them or draw a foul.
Stop and Go: [View Quicktime Video] Hold the sprint button and release the left stick while dribbling and the player will briefly stop. Move in the original direction again with the left analog stick and the player will perform a Stop and Go as he will move on sprinting again.
Feint: [View Quicktime Video] In the middle of a 45 degree turn, use the right analog stick to flick the ball in another 45 degree direction [View Quicktime Video]. This is difficult to perform but is very effective to dribble past an opponent.
Context Skill Moves: In FIFA 07 on XBOX 360, the fact that the ball is completely independent enables the gamer to perform a myriad of unique and unscripted skill moves based on context (the player attributes, the position of the ball and the gamer input) of any given situation.
For example, the ball could be chipped over the head of the receiving player or he could juggle the ball several times after performing a successful trap. The more you play the more you will be able to see and reproduce those unique and exciting moves.
