Edged and caught behind!!!!!

hi,

in my career mode 90% of the time i'm always dismissed by being caught behind playing mainly a cover drive. Is it me or is there some way to reduce this happening? i'm guessing one is having batters confidence meter high? but what else apart from timing?

Any suggestions?

I would suggest you read threads regarding batting advice you will find solution to your each and every problem.

to counter edges play with both triggers pressed while playing on offside , chances of edges will be reduce to minimum.

I've just recently got the game and currently play casual games v comp on rookie/easiest level. Does batsmans confidence levels make any difference anyway? Pressing both triggers together doesn't seem to make any difference to shots either.

It's unfortunate that playing aggressive ground shots (both triggers pressed) leads to fewer edges than playing normal shots (no triggers). Hope Big Ant fix the issue and make it the other way, i.e. normal shots lead to fewer edges compared to playing aggressive shots. For this they will need to reduce the edge frequency dramatically for regular shots as currently playing through the off side without triggers pressed will most often result in an edge.
