EDGES in ODI Matches.........

well hi....pardon me but i need a little bit of advice on this one.

i used to get edges in ODI matches but after the release of my latest patches (VER. 5.0 onwards) i'm not getting a single edge in ODIs. i know this is sounding a bit strange coz i just won the best A.I patch award. but i believe that i cannot take the credit for the success of my patches alone. coz before i got into making patches many people like RAVI,ZIM,etc helped me and guided me a lot. without them i wouldn't have been so successfull.

so just need a bit guidence on this....

these are values which i have edited in ODI HARD. but still i'm not getting edges in ODIs.

BatEdgeStroke 0.006672
BatEdgeAverage 0.999999
BatEdgeOrder 0.002666
BatEdgeBias 0.001299

whereas these are values in my TEST HARD and i'm getting good edges with it in TEST MATCHES. i tried the same values in odi hard but no use.

i cannot edit the EDGEPROB of strokes coz then it will obviouslty affect edges in TEST MATCH.

i don't think BatWindowIdealSize needs to be lowed coz i have the same balues for it in both TEST and ODI.

plz help guys.

i appied ur 5.4v patch n started getin more edges than usual, speracially durin the first 8 over or so, i just bowl outside the off stump n the cpu tries to play back foot drives n edges to slips or gully all the time..... i completed an entire wc in no time.... i had to literally autoplay when i was bowlin n wud chase(though battin is tough)....

Well there are many factors as you know, but the BatWindowIdealSize value is certainly one of them. There's no harm in reducing this value in your ODI Hard config, making it different to your test Hard config. Mine are different.

i mean i don't think BatWindowIdealSize has anything to do in this case as it is 2.0 for both ODI and TEST. i get decent edges in TEST but no edges in ODI.

maybe something else can affect the changes.

well as u can see...these r the setting inmy ODI HARD. i've set all of them very high. DOES ANY VALUES NEEDS TO BE DECREASED TO GET MORE EDGES?

Does the cpu get edges in test matches or just you,i also think once the batsmen get more aggresive,theless chance of an edge, and of course the batsmen play quite aggresivly early,the edge6 rating is a bit puzzling i have never seen one.

well its strange that you arent getting even a single edge.....its true that the no. of edges in ODIs is much less than test matches (maybe due to the stroke selection and pace setting of the CPU), but I wouldnt say I do not even a single edge. (on the contrary I picked up 4 edges in 4 consecutive deliveries in an ODI match not so long ago).

What about Difficulty and StrokeDifficulty?

Thats all i can think of, it has me puzzled too. Maybe if you increase the edge probabilty of the shots?

ya using tutsi patch i also really dont get a single edge first i think that iam not bowling well but when i use koalas patch the same bowl tricks the batsman i got two wickets in an over

i dunno y this is happening....some are getting edges in ODI but some are not.

this cricket 2004 is a peice of crap.

i think it behaves differently with different PCs.
