England In India - October 2011/12

Why are they playing Samit? K.P and Bopara can chuck a few pies :p

I've never seen the point of Patel. Not good enough to be one of the 5 bowlers and not good enough to bat in the top 7. Pointless him being there.

Surprised that India ran two when Dhoni hit Kumar. Bit of bad sportsmanship there, when long off would have cut it off at one. Fair enough to take the one but to run two is totally against the spirit of the game, hence Cook and Co having a talk at them. Nothing to do with Kumar running down the pitch like some clueless commentator tried to say.

Oh come on we have shown enough sportsmanship :p Its OK not show sometimes :)

123 KPH to start with for Kumar. First 10 overs will be crucial. If no wickets fall then pitch will ease but but again 300 wont be easy

lol. That heated chat with Cook and co has surely fired PK up. Never saw him celebrating a wicket like this :p

:lol K.P Entering and the Stadium DJ was playing "Bachna Ae Hasseno, Lo mai AA gaya" ... Either it was a coincidence or dj has a wicked sense of humor. ;)

@ Angry Pixel

Personally I thought his bowling was poor at best. He just seemed to put the ball there, no real threat. Still young though.

I'm pretty annoyed, what's the point in me having Sky Player to watch Cricket on, if it doesn't bleedin' show it. Illegal streams it is then :(

I think you can watch live stream on Bcci.tv Its 5minutes delayed for India but rest of the world it is live.

K.P did a classic Sachin pose on that low bounce ball :p

You dont have to do too much in ODI tbh. Just have to put the ball in the right areas and wait for batsman to make a mistake unless you are Date Steyn/Brett lee who can just blast through any top order when its their day.

I like how when India were batting the announcer always said "*** runs for only * wickets" but with England it's "*** runs for * wickets". Not important or anything but made me chuckle :p

Nothing going right for KP. Getting bounced on 123Kmph deliveries  . A inform KP would have dispatched those over midwicket.

In form? Didn't he just have his most prolific test series in years? Personally I'd drop KP for anything but big tournaments and massive test series. He is the complete opposite of a flat track bully, always seeming to score his runs against the top teams or in big series. Stick him against some dobbler from Kenya and he'll find a way to get out cheap.

I mean he didn't really have control over it, just placed it on a spot that batsman picked really easily, once they got onto him, he'd normally start bowling long-hops and full-tosses. That said, he may have improved plenty over the last year, but seems to have been leapfrogged by Stokes and Borthwick... and Patel (well, I can't really see Patel leap-frogging, but clambering sounds about right).

K.P's horror night finally over. I wonder why he didnt got the same benefit of doubt that Raina got :p

Damn. Sourav is nice commentator when it comes to access the situation of game or discuss something related to cricket. When it comes to making a joke he sucks big time.
His latest comment to his fellow Asussie commentator " Don't talk about the recent English tour or you could be back home on next flight as Dhoni knows the passport officer"
WTF Saurav :p

Wow, I thought Yadav would get the new ball. Man, Vinay Kumar? Really? How does he even get near this team?

----------

144 KMH? That's not Indian.

That's what my point. Get in these two and give one of them a new ball along with PK. Surely, they can only learn from here on. That's what India needs, pace bowlers. They might not be consistent and give away runs but, if they're kept interested, I am sure both have the potential. At least Yadav does, from whatever I've seen of him. Not sure about Aaron but, pace is something which is always good.

This is setting up for quite a nice chase. I think we need to be about 120 after 25 overs. Ideally these two will get us up to about 200 before others come in to finish the innings, don't really want them out before 150 is up.
