I was in school whie the match went on. He was 10 runs short when I had to leave the library comp!!! The suspense was building for me. Im so glad that he got the 400

Congrats to Lara. He wanted to get to 400 and get his team to 750. Got both done. Eng are in a spot of bother right now with 3 down.

Lara the best batsman in the world with scores of 501*,400*,375 . Has Tendulkar done this? I think not!

That has nothing do with anything, you could say that to Bradman who is undisputedly the greatest but he hasn't gotten those scores.... Calm*
down laddy... -_- -_-

**UPDATE**

4th Test - Close Of Play - Day Three

West Indies 1st Innings: 751/5 declared (Lara 400 not out, Jacobs 107 not out)
England 1st Innings: 171/5

Congradulations to the greatest batsmen of our era. He is superb. What an amazing knock. Time and again he has proved his critics wrong, he has lifted the west indies from their lowest moments in test history to come up with a masterful innings. The hall mark of a great player.

what a knock by lara and for the first time i saw the whole thing, i feel proud witnessing history

and i guess laras knock was quite good for the english bowling attack, they r not telling all the winning get to their head and he is just getting them ready for nz so now they can see they still have a long way to go

AQs long as i live in america and cant throw money around, i wont be witnessing any history for a while!

I wasn't comparing Lara to Sir Donald Bradman because you can't compare eras and a test average of 99.96 will never be beaten. I was just saying that Lara is a better player than Tendulkar.

Good knock from Flintoff.

Also have to say that Geriant Jones played well for 38 runs in his first test innings.

Agreed. Lara is much more devastating. He has the hunger, patience, discipline and mental toughness to play very very long innings when the chips are down as he has shown time and again in his career.
