DG- Well Tony what a couple of excititng sessions of play there.

TG- Amazing cricket, England are hanging on by the skin of their teeth. I think this game could go well into the 5th day. Whilst an England win still looks unlikely, they have put some runs on the board for only the loss of 3 wickets. With the amount of time left it is possible, i mean they only need another 269 runs, however to go for the win, they will have to take risks, and thats when the chances will come.

DG- Thats correct, the runrate is slow, but with so much time in the game it doesnt really matter. Now we cant go without talking about this partnership that England have going. That of course is the Trescothick and Vaughan partnership.

TG- Its been a terrific knock from Trescothick, he's played defensivly yet look at the fours and sixes he's hit. Perhaps hes trying to make up for the run outs he has caused thusfar.

DG- Indeed, we cant however forget about michael vaughan, who's dug in at the other end, and for what its worth held an end up.

TG- Yes you cant rely on one man, its vitally important that you have someone at the other end that can stay with you.

DG- So New Zeland have just taken the new ball, can England bat out another session without losing a wicket?

Hmm, still think it's a bit much to chase. How come you're finding batting so much easier in this innings?

The only thing i have done differently, is defend more balls. In the first innings i was trying to hit everything. I got out off an edge to the hook twice.

This time im waiting for the batsmen to get full confidence, before even playing an attacking shot. Also if you check the spider's, look where most of my shots have been. On the legside, you dont get many edges with legside shots, unless its pitched outside off stump.

I couldnt believe it when they had me all out for 107 or whatever it was, bedcause i only edited their batsmen to make them better. It seems like once you lose one wicket on blic, a collapse can happen pretty quickly.

Yeah I've got quite a good legside tactic of shuffling across and taking an offstump guard so if the ball hits you you're always outside the line. It worked quite well against Murali as well.

England looking good in this innings, but the Kiwiz can easily bounce back with a few quick wickets. Just as you mentioned, if England can ban out another session without losing a wicket and scoring another 70-80 runs, then they could go for the win tomorrow. However, right now both these batsmen need to continue getting the runs steadily, and without taking any risks. Even a draw for England would be a good result after being bowled out for 107 in the 1st innings.
