Our good friend at MindStorm Studios, Babar Ahmed (CEO of MS) has given Planet Cricket.net an exclusive interview about Cricket Revolution based on the questions from PC members, whom we thank for their contributions.

Q: Will there be a single player mode?

Babar Ahmed: Yes. There will be two single player experiences in the form of exhibition matches vs AI teams and then net practice. However, our core focus is on providing a competitive online play experience, where tournaments, progression and leaderboards are all based on player vs player matches.

I'm slightly concerned about this, it seems to indicate that the only single player modes will be exhibition matches and net practice. What about Test series and ODI series and the like? As far as single-player is concerned, it doesn't sound as thought it'll be worth buying. @Developer: I strongly recommend that you include some worthwhile modes for single-player such as Test and ODI series at least.

Also, is this likely to be released for retail?

I am not sure about Single Player too. I would like Test and ODI series.

This will be a step forward for cricket games. I just hope this one is gonna be the best. If this flopps then will there be hope for a good cricket game?

I will stick to stick cricket for time being.

From what I understand, since they don't have any licenses from ICC there won't be any real cricketers in there, which is to say that you could make your own Ganguly, Chanderpaul, etc, and modify the player however you wish.

Darn that spoils alot of the fun of a cricket game. I agree the gameplay matters but itz really really fun if we actually have a real shoaib steamin in rather than some random i dunno ahmer khan replicating shoaib. A really important part missed. oh well...
